  1. Maybe they are angry enough over the Riley commitment to riot and burn their campus down. That'd be two-fer on this end.
  2. yes, we will have more points. A 2-star is worth 3 points. A 3-star is worth 8 points. A 4-star is worth 75 points. I haven't calculated what a 5-star is worth. In theory Riley is right at the border of being a 4 star player (moving from 5.7 to 5.8). Maybe if he throws another 40 touchdowns, that will happen.
  3. Correction: Meager and Vizza will have more competition. Dodge will not show up until Jan 2008 at the earliest.

    Wow

You mean a team that runs up the score on lesser opponents; and then collects championship trophies? My point is that I think the SLC players/coaches are respected as winners, and that is an attitude that we need to have in our players (something that left with Booger and S Hall). If we need to import it fro SLC, so be it.

    Wow

um, getting into Stanford is no easy trick. that is why they said Ty Willingham did such a wonderful job there. It is my understanding that you Stanford is one of the few schools that don't give athletes the NCAA minimum (you must meet school standards).
  6. Riley is a competitor. Of course he thinks he can start. How many of yall want a quarterback who is just happy to have a scholarship? And unless you are Jevaqn Snead (level of talent), transferring to another school is very difficult (to just show up and get playing time).

    Wow

I find it amusing that we catch crap for hiring a high school coach; and how its only been done up at Notre Dame (unsuccessfully). But the Gigantic Tuna almost hired TD to be the tight ends coach for the Cowboys. How often are high school coaches hired by NFL teams? I don't recall too many. Obviously we hired a special one.
  8. Its funny that we are debating quarterbacks, as he would probably be the odds on favorite to be the starter if he had chosen UNT....and now he's stuck behind that super-recruit at K-State.
  9. Ask and you shall receive: SLC vs WF and SLC vs Stephenville
  10. The over/under on that game would be set somewhere around 110.
  11. That's probably what some folks said about Andrew Smith after Hall entrenched himself as the starter. One pectoral tear later, its the Andrew Smith show. Whoever doesn't start isn't a bad Qb, they are the backup quarterback and should be ready at all times.
  12. What I took from the article is that Flannigan was given one of the elite quarterback talents in the nation and damn near destroyed him as a player. Pretty cool that way end up recruiting some pretty serious Qb talent.
  13. If he brings anyone from SLC with him, I would prefer he bring his lineman. They had some nice D-1 prospects over on the SLC O-line.
  14. Everyone knows that Utah State is the hardest place in America to coach.
  15. To compare Meager's play while running the Buick and using that as his basis for Dodgeball just don't make sense. These are so dramatically different systems that I just don't think we can use anyone's play over the last 2 season's as a basis as to how they will perform under Dodge (that goes for defense too).
  16. You might have forgotten that Meager at one time was rumored to be practicng returning kicks; as he has some serious speed. Woody is faster, but probably not by much (as Rivalslist Meager as having 4.48/40 speed).
  17. They sell Signal Meters pretty cheaply on Ebay. I would suggest picking one up, to make your life easier when you try to find the satellite signal.
  18. keep in mind that this commitments could also have to due with the 6 wideouts that have already signed, and the 1 that has committed for 2008. Baylor's WR cupboard is just about empty, and this kid probably thinks he can hed to Waco and step right in. Which is a compliment to the quality of WR that TD is bringing in.
  19. Ok, I will be more exact then. TT runs the ball 15.8 times per game (2007 average), compared to throwing the ball 56 times per game. Working out to a 5:1 ratio (with a season low of 11 against OU). I would say that works out to almost never as far as game planning goes.
  20. The version of the spread that Leach runs doesn't use the running back...ever. TD will go five wides, but will also hand the bal of 30 times to the RB if that is what is needed.
  21. That still doens't address the fact that they have mountains for offensive lineman. And that we don't have much depth or size on the D-line.
  22. Its different, because they are toothless hillbillies and they suck.
  23. And they've figured out that Melton just isn't a running back.
  24. Rivals says that he has 4.5/40 speed. After looking at his highlight video, I wonder if he will transisition to FS
  25. Yes, the fans were verbalized ever spring.....if that's what you meant.
