  1. Next week's showdown could be the Battle of the Winless: Michigan vs Notre Dame.
  2. Here's some pertinent stats from the SLC win tonight. Rushing Passing Dodge, Riley SLC 4-20 19-31-2-349 Derek Tomlin returned a fumble 23 yards for a TD. The box score lists a Kyle Padron. I wonder if this is Justin's brother?
  3. I attended from 1997 - 2000, and saw some pretty bad losses. But I can say that I have never felt embarrassed by watching our team perform. I have been embarrassed by DD, RF and their actions; but not the guys on the field. I don't know many things, but I do know that TD will have his boys ready for next week at Ford Field; and their would be nothing greater than watching SMU get beat in their own house. Every program has its down periods, and for the first time in a long time UNT is actively preparing for its upward movement in college football.
  4. Do they archive games on the Mean Green Premium? So that they could be watched later (in case I miss the game)?
  5. 60 scholarships, and not a mouth full of teeth on the team. Just dreadful.
  6. Ask and you shall receive. Here's that I threw together awhile back (from stuff off my DVR, and what I taped). I am still learning how to do video, so please be kind.
  7. Congratulations UNT fans, that means that we officially have a glut of talent (some of the top HS talent in Texas) at the most important position on the field.
  8. Isn't it the Left Tackle that does that?
  9. Brock Stickler. And the new Diet Coke guy.
  10. Team Discipline. About as new fangled as the forward pass.
  11. Part of the motvie could be to minimize player distractions (media, fans, etc). And keeping people outside the fence probably serves that function.
  12. I wonder if Guy Morris will be at Baylor long enough to see this one through. This is a unusual step for Notre Dame. They usually don't schedule cream-puffs.
  13. I was just checking out that 2007 recruitng class of Troy and noticed something: 12 out of their 32 commits are from the JUCO ranks. I understand that you can mix in some JUCO talents as stop-gaps when you have roster holes; but one-third of their recruiting class! That strategy could very well catch up to them. (And I count 7 out of 25 players from their 2006 class being JUCO transfers).
  14. Wrong player. I think the new CB from California is the referenced player (with the first name Roman).
  15. As far as entertaining listening, I vote for RF. The explicative laden interview would hit a peak around the time he picked a fight with Harry or Evan...leaving the other to broadcast play-by-play of the scuffle.
  16. How many toiuchdowns will Breece have to catch before the media gets his name right?
  17. Its gonna be nice to get back to where these lists are the same as the UNT roster (and getting back to the North Texas Invitational in New Orleans).
  18. If there is any position on the field where a true freshman can make an impact its the running back position. I don't think Mosely will rip Colorado for 247 yards; but I do think he will see the field.
  19. Forfeiting a season that was played 2 years a go is a little weak. That is unless they made OU give back all the stadium revenues that they netted as a result of 2005. That would be a penalty.
  20. I think that in order to keep him from running off to another school, your post tells me that we have 5-6 years to show him why he should stay. That would be filling the stadium, joining the MGC club, etc....doing our part as students / fans / alumni.
  21. Great looking page. I would suggest a UNT football history page. We do have some history that is worth talking about.
  22. We are also deeper at DE with Gilmore coming back. I could see him driving teams nuts as a pass rusher.
  23. The scary thing is that over the last 3 years we have underperformed what the computer predicts for us each year. That's gotta change, right?
  24. I am curious. For those of you who say we don't need Craig Miller as an alumni; what do you say to the thousands of alumni who have shunned UNT? Is it just because he has a radio show? Well, what about all those anonymous alumni who dissed UNT on national TV every time they left empty seats at Fouts? Several years ago when, on National TV, Joe Greene publiclly distanced from the university (they interviewed him during halftime of a NFL game, when we went to the NO bowl as a 5-6 team)? Did we all say that we no longer need him as an alumni? Because if your "logic" is applied equally, you should be just as bitter towards Mean Joe Greene also. I can't imagine us ever having too many fans or alumni. And if there are any out there who question UNT's commitment to athletics, they should be answered. And I believe that the University has finally decided to do so. But for some, they will have to be shown that we haven't hired someone who is content to be a nice mid-major who is just honored to be on the same field with UT. Most all of us believe that TD is the person to make that happen, but we don't have any proof....not yet. But I think we will soon.
