Can someone explain pursuit to me? How is it that the ULL quarterback is faster than any linebacker we can put on the field. And their running back is faster than any linebacker we can put on the field. But the running back isn't faster than Joseph Miller. Folks, are returning players got exposed tonight (at least the linebackers). They were slow, and couldn't make the sideline to sideline plays necessary. And at some point the FS may need to learn that he is the last line of defense, and that nobody should get behind him. The TD pass to the TE in the endzone was the safety and linebacker responsibility. Thought, one positive: Joe Miller is a player. He is really developing. DD made a nice find there.

Sometimes I get a little dejected when I am navigating the department's website, and see some things that I feel are very "directional school-ish." And then I log in here, and see podcasts, and live radio broadcasts. Those are things that I see boards like texags (big boards with sponsors and stuff) just now trying to get done. The work yall have done here is amazing. Really first rate stuff. keep up the good work. (if Dunham is around, maybe fake jerry jones or the fake norm hitzges can make a guest appearance on the show.)

At least we don't have those weird "technical difficulties" after tough losses or blow-outs like we did with DD.

Well, Dodge indicated that he didn't watch any of last year's tapes; so I would say that any players currently in a doghouse have played their way into that doghouse. And that's just disappointing.

I watched the internet broadcast, but didn't notice Gilmore. I heard Hank/Geroge comment on him a couple of times, but didn't see him. Did anyone notice him? Pressure from the edge? I ask, as I remember that Vito wrote about him not contributing until next Fall.

I have been there for those games. I watched DD coach many, many 13-7 contests. And let me tell you that the game is also a marketing experience, so stats other than the score do matter. A run first offense hoping to wind the clock before the other team can drive the field will draw about 500 fans (see previous attendance marks). TD will bring an exciting offense that will bring athletes with a winning attitude, and fans. The 'W's will come. Be patient.

I that exposes the subtle differences in run blocking as opposed to pass blocking. And its obvious that we are not very good at one of those. Hopefull some of these left tackle prospects that we have recruited can turn this around.

Here's my challenge to you: go find the last time that UNT was down at the half and scored points to tie the game (or take the lead). This team under Dodge is different, and quite a few of us feel that about this team.

Um, Meager isn't a defensive player; and he wasn't playing defensive back against the guy in the slot. I checked the player reports, and didn't see that he played defense. A healthy portion of Fitzgerald's yard were yards after the catch. So it did change.

1. Fitzgerald is only a junior. This is his 'practice' year in the spread. 2. Woody Wilson is no longer on the roster. 3. Evan Fentriss is eligible next year. WOW! 4. 3 Starters on the D-line will graduate (Stevenson, Burrus, Chapman). That frightens me. A lot.

I would question the comment about speed on the offensive side of the ball. I watched Fitzgerald get some great separation last week. He actually pulled away from the OU safety on his TD catch. Defensive speed has been lacking for a while now. Could the SMU cheerleaders actually have been worse than the OU ones? There's a sizable collection of roots.

If Meager cracker under the pressure, then what in the hell did the defense do? Hopefully Gilmore can work his way into the lineup; their seems to be some openings on the defense for playmakers.

TD 14-3
