  1. All that being said, they laid waste to every team that they came across. And some of them they down right embarrassed. Brady's sex-scapades are embarrassing; except when measured by the standards of teh NFL (or any or professional sports league). We can start at Michael Vick and end this discussion at Barry Bonds (or Lawrence Taylor, or Andy Pettite, or Latrell Sprewell, or Jason Williams...)
  2. He left Colorado in NCAA violation hell when he left there. If I remember right, he was violating the recruiting dead period by sitting out front of recruits houses while calling them. Much of what Gary Barnet had to deal with was set up by Neuhesial.
  3. Given the opportunity, Eli will find a way to piss this game away. Its what he does. Key interceptions are what he does.
  4. So what is the over/under until UCLA is investigated by the NCAA for some kind of violation? My guess is that the first one will be a recruiting violation.
  5. ok, then maybe tomorrow's word of the day should be smegma.
  6. Here's an article that starts to explain it: article Then there is the quote from the SMU official about loving UNT, as that is where they hire most of their domestic help from. And then there is them moving to have us blocked from joining CUSA. And then there's the fact that they are the largest collection of dooches anywhere.
  7. A coaching search isn't about giving the most money away, its finding the right person to do the job. And I think we have found him here at UNT. SMU however, tried to money-whip Paul Johnson and that didn't work. And now they are about to let their coaching search run up to New Years. There is something distinctly different about these 2 schools: the direction of each of their athletic programs. UNT's is headed up, and SMU's is headed down.
  8. I am really hoping that the growth of the O-line will enable Franklin to stay on the defensive side of the ball.
  9. The seniors who carry that team are all Saban's (Flynn, Dorsey, Douchette). Next year it will be Saban's team outright; and very interesting to see how they do (especially since Perilloux is 2 Heismans behind his prediction).
  10. Les Miles is about to join that club.
  11. Maybe those were adjustments based on a lack of speed / coverage skills in the secondary.
  12. Why not try some type of Corporate day. Lockheed Martin day might have the capacity to raise a record crowd. There are enough employees there to just about fill the stadium. Set up to sell tickets in group numbers or something through the business's community involvement folks.
  13. I just remembered, SMU still hasn't hired a coach. I wonder if they are waiting for the recruiting period to completely end. ponyfans.com is getting pretty irate about not hiring a coach. Good stuff.
  14. If nothing else, the D-lineman we have just got better. As this is a star-studded bunch of defensive backs. It is possible now to have 4 secondary starters who weren't even on the 2007 roster.
  15. I think he's been pretty awesome to take the time to weigh in during the podcasts. And most posters like those; so yeah...he has fans.
  16. Covington was a 3-star, and Roman was a 2-star. [Covington's 100 yard int returned for an interception to seal a victory wasn't that underwhelming to me.]
  17. Nope, you didn't read close enough. The decision was made before he injured his shoulder. I suspect that this is a way to get an "extra" semester of red shirting in. This will put 18 months in between Rodge and Vizza.
  18. It's a rivalry kinda thing. Kind of like the amount of time the Aggies devote to hating UT. Hell, its even in their fight song.
  19. Regardless of how he resigned, he has accepted 3 jobs in less than 2 years. And tried for a 4th (meeting with Auburn to replace Tubberville). Lesson Learned: Four some-odd million per year can't even buy loyalty with the man.
  20. Wow, someone who can finally give Saban a run for his money.
  21. Since Santiago moved over the O-line, and overall they were ok (young, but learning); I am gonna speculate the Franklin stays on the defensive side of the ball. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
  22. I liked that part of the article best.
  23. Yeah, like when Kentucky came in and....no wait. That doesn't always happen. So we should take up whoever offers us membership? If the Southland Conference offered us membership, would that make them a better conference? No, taht "logic" just doesn't hold water. One of the conference points taht some people conveniently overlook is how much the Sunbelt has grown; and continues to become more competitive (inside the conference, and out). This thing is starting to get its legs under it.
  24. True, True and True. And then the school officials should cancel the football program; and since that will be an admittance of failure they should probably shut down the university at that point.
