Fun story...I'm actually looking into the logistics of a trip to Pyongyang via China...it's doable, just tough. Additionally, my airline (like many airlines) still maintains an interline staff travel agreement with IranAir and have looked into whether or not a brief visit to Tehran is possible...if things continue to calm down there, of course. Travel a little, folks...you see the world a little differently when you see it through your own eyes and form your own opinions...

All we're missing is FireHelmetJesus and we'll have a completed "Glenn Beck Idiot Patrol" trifecta. If you truly believe the world was a more peaceful place under te reign of Darth Cheney, well, then you're apparently less educated than I thought. If nothing else, I can honestly say, I feel safer when traveling internationally now than I did before.

I'd be happy with mediocrity. We're not even there.

OK, allow me to rephrase. Replace the words "go it alone" with "our way or the highway". Better? My question is...if we extend it, will the Republicans accuse the Obama Administration of "trampling the Constitution"? Because, if anything in the last 20 years was equivalent to wiping one's ass with our nation's Constitution...it was the The "Patriot" Act.

In a word... Nope.

It's called "diplomacy". I know it's been a lost art for the last, I dunno, who knows how long...but the "going-it-alone" strategy does more damage than good. If you truly believe it doesn't (your personal beliefs, not the regurgitation of Glenn Beck's Daily List o' Batshit Craziness), then maybe you're more hopeless than I thought you were. Like JD said, though, where's the politics in this? The FBI did their job and we, the American Citizen, are safe. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

So, for those of us that avoid other people's little brats like they have the H1N1 Flu...and just might actually have it...we're on our own to make it to Voertman's or the Union in time to grab an NT shirt. An actual team store on site would be an incredible addition.

Regardless of politics and party affiliation, the President of the United States of America should, at least, always be welcome in the history and social studies classroom, if not all of them... If nothing else, it teaches critical thinking skills and opening debate on topics that affect Junior High and High School students.

Pierow, You and Cheri have always been two of my favorite members of this little MeanGreen family we have. Always welcoming, hospitable, and 2 of the best people I know. Y'all offered me a place to stay when I wasn't sure where I would wind up during a hard time...and, while I never took you up on it, it was comforting to know the offer was on the table. You guys are the best...and Cheri's smile is contagious. A buffoon like you snagging a chickadee like her has always given me hope. My thoughts are with Cheri this morning...hoping they got it all.
