Some classic moments from the draft...
-
I would gladly do multiple years at Texas Stadium if it meant Fouts was gone.
-
Voted. I'll give my vote to any DPD officer...except Emmitt. Not that he doesn't deserve it. It's just the principle of the matter.

JayDub With a "Y", no spaces, and a capital "D". JayDub

For the record, it's "JayDub". I vote we let Ramone in on this as well. Just won't be the same with out Big Spill or GreenNawlin'sVet

Welcome and glad to have you here! Go Mean Green!
-
bump!

Really seems like we have very few people with interest to play. C'mon folks...this game is a blast...get in on it, meet your fellow Mean Green fans, and help a great cause in the process.

I would be more than happy to pee in an UnderArmour urinal while screaming "WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE!"

What I think she meant is that it promotes the whole "you don't need to work hard on your musicianship and songwriting skills as long as you're attractive" era of popular music we're in. There are so many great musicians out there that can't make a living because radio and video conglomerates like Clear Channel and Viacom force feed the same crap and the average moron eats it up and asks for more... Music used to have feeling and used to mean something to someone. Now it is all disposable crap. It's sad really. That said, I dunno if she is the best person to be saying things like this...but at least she's a face people recognize and might follow to better music. I do love the fact that, wherever she tours, she always brings the opening act up for a song or two in her set...a sort encore and endorsement. She did it for Jack Ingram and it got him noticed enough to get a major label deal with real backing this time*. *(I know, I know...Jack is on the verge of selling his soul, too...but having heard his new album...it came out today...it's a good mix of country crap that he was forced to record and great songs he's been playing live for years that he finally got to record. His song "The Great Divide" should be up for a Grammy this next go 'round.)

These are essentially decals (slightly thicker and the adhesive is easier to remove) that cover the actual hardware.

Buzz...I think this is a great idea. Who cares if someone from the other side is on our sidelines...if they shell out some serious cash for sideline passes to make benefit glorious university NT... Also, keep this in mind.

And that I did! Click here for dual monitor goodness! Thanks Smitty!

That was really my only complaint about the "new" Pit Crew. Rather than pickup en mass and move to the other side to heckle (A DECENT CHUNK OF THE REASON THE PIT CREW WAS CREATED IN THE FIRST PLACE)...they just pussed out, and laid down without any sort of fight.

OK...is this time and date set in stone now? I need it to be rock solid before I start making shift trades to fly home.

I spent yesterday morning at the World Trade Center site in New York. While looking at the various photos of police officers and firemen I noticed many that had the captions: "______, an NYPD/FDNY officer, helps people to safety before going back in to help more. He/She died in the collapse." Between those photos and the thoughts of those in my own industry we lost that day, I got so choked up that I had to walk away for a while. I couldn't handle it. I'd bet that every person who has ever murdered a police officer has been helped by one at one point in their lives... You guys do what is necessary to keep others safe all the time, no matter who they are, yet it takes the death of an officer to make people realize that the cops are more than just guys that hand out tickets when you're in the wrong. Emmitt, you and your brothers have the most thankless job on the planet and are deserving of our prayers all the time...and especially right now. Your fallen comrade, your department, and you & Lera are in my thoughts tonight. Take care of yourself out there, my friend.

Praise be to Allah! On behalf of all the single, (redacted) men of this board....thank you, thank you, thank you!

Crazy Ray Passes
JayDub replied to NT03's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I agree...let's petition Jerry Jones to induct Crazy Ray into the Ring of Honor. -
Name: Justin "JayDub" Cook-Winters Shirt Size: XL Jersey Number: 52 Age: 24 Height: 5'11" (and a half) Weight: Constantly fluctuating between 215-255 Experience: A veteran of all three previous GMG.com Bowl Games...and member of all three winning teams. The only man in history to have a flag thrown on him for "Dropping Trou" (in games I and III).Creator of the halftime beer chugging contest.Player/replacement coach on winning team in game II. With ShaneB as his Diet Coke Boy, Dickey was proud of his impression of the former head coach and his play calling (draw, draw, draw).Carries the number 52 as his jersey number because he clocks in with a 52 second 40 time. 40oz that is. (That, and 52 is the number of test tube shots he had at a bar in New Orleans the night he and Stebo are STILL trying to piece together all these years later) A presence as a big man on the line and always good as a decoy for those unaware that he has no athletic ability.Recently quit his half pack a day smoking habit...so lung capacity is up over previous years.Drinks beer with Chuck Norris AND Bob Saget.Celebrates every GMG.com Bowl win with a Turkey D and pitcher of Shiner Bock at Riprock's...and plans to do it again this year.Flying in from Southern Utah just for this game....and a Turkey D. (maybe the official postgame shindig should be at Riprock's?)

Why is this the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title? "Give it to me Lance, Give it to me Lance, Give it to me Lance, Push!"
-
We can only hope.

Invested? Seems like she's coasted for 18 years and gotten away with it. It's put up or shut up time now...big thanks to RV for finally holding Slinker accountable. I never wish our teams to lose, but I still don't want another Slinker contract extension. It's time for some fresh blood to take over this program.

Only 220 votes out of the lead... Remember, we've done this kind of thing once already with plenty of success...now let's go screw with SMUt... Unfortunately...this one isn't as easy to vote multiple times.
