Bio for Hope24: A female veteran of the past GMG Bowl games, and an imediate impact player. Hope24 displays skills receiving and blocking. Last year's game film shows she had multiple blocks on one play leading to a touchdown. Of course, the film also showed there was a line of opposing players running in her direction and away from the ball carrier? This player has QB ability, reads defenses and can deal with physical contact. She has been the victim of many illegal hits (Illegal contact, illegal hands to the face.... the chest, the arms, the back, uh...you get the picture) but she goes right back to the huddle. A first round draft pick with tremdous up side...(really tremendous UP-side). A postion change from WR to QB is recommended as she has legitimate throwing ability, but this player will be noticed at any position on the field.

The next event on the timeline is Thursday night. The live draft will take place in the GMG.com chat room. Emmitt selected Stebo as the Green Team captain, and ZEKE was selected as the white team captain. These two will select from a draft roster beeing created now. The time for the draft will be 8:00PM, and will be proctored by Emmitt. Remember captains that ALL on the roster are eligible to be drafted at any time, but the girls must be selected first. Reminder: once the draft is complete, the shirt orders should go within about 48 hours (trades and such completed as Emmitt needs them). Any changes in shirt names or sizes has to be in by draft time. Just over a month to kickoff. Some of us are starting our workouts!!!...(I'm mostly just taping my shoulder so SOME people cant knock the crap out of me) GMG!!!

I've seen Cox at practice and the kid has quickness. He still has time to learn the offense, so I think he contributes well when fall comes. Roberson and Mitchell also look pretty good. My dark horse for RB this fall is Maldonado. Yeah, he's tiny... but you cant play with more heart than that kid does. Have him return kicks and play special teams until he can get some carries. You have to find a way to keep this guy on your roster. If nothing else, he shows the others a "no quit" attitude. You gotta love that. GMG!!!

Bio for TwoDollarPistol: An accomplished receiver who has great form while running routes... well, has great form whether running routes or not. This little lady takes the game over! Plays great defense and never gets off of her man! (especially if it's Pierow, Johnny Quinn, or Nick Bazaldua) A very aggressive defender who can usually handle more than one receiver at a time!.......(nope, too easy) A talented player who can use distraction as her weapon. (most of us are distracted, so we know that works) A first round draft pick, and sure game changer. GMG!!!

The first hurdle has passed and it looks like we have just about everyone's info. Anyone who still wants to play and has not sent their info in yet should do so ASAP. I'm in again.. Last year was a good time. Get to serve the players and coaches and put some names to faces. GMG!!!

Good player focus. We also noted some interesting points throughout the practices: Hard to judge the QB's this soon into the spring, but Wilson and Phillips were the two who showed the most in this practice. Something good has infected the wide receivers. Brandon Jackson was a wild man out there. He had a 70 yard TD reception, and made some huge catches. B-Jax has really come on and could challenge Muzzy for the #2 spot, but Muzzy looked pretty good too. Brock Stickler had a couple of nice grabs, including a fade route for a TD in the corner of the end zone. Let's talk DB. Dominique Green and Desmond Chatman looked very good at corner. The safeties Agbottah and Higgs also looked pretty good. Weathers is out with an injury. Cotton looks good against the pass, but had some issues against the run. Still some issues with Obure and his temper. He got pushed around some today, and apparently doesnt like it. There were several fights, and Obure was in all but one. Cant say enough about Isaac Thomas. As Silver and Illuvius have written, he is a beast out there right now. His best sack of the practice was knocking the center backwards into the quarterback, which knocked him down. Pure strength. Linebackers were good today... but Phillip Graves was the star. He had a earth-jarring hit on Phillips. The other standout was Toby Nwigwe. That guy is fast for 240 lbs. It was good seeing this team as focussed as they seem to be. GMG!!!

Thanks again to the man with the red backpack! Good roster.. Is it just me, or has Brian Nelson been a sophmore defensive back since we played Colorado State in the first New Orleans Bowl? Every year we get the official roster and there he is...#17- Brian Nelson -Soph. Hehehehe... That guy will finish his career at NT as a 7th year senior, with 2000 special teams tackles!!! GMG!!!

The date change turned out to be a mess for some people, so I have booked the large practice field at the Ath. center for the 8th. Okay, so we lose Fouts... but it's better for everyone who wants to play to be there. Timeline as was posted is stillin effect, but we are at the AC for the game now. April 8th...BE THERE!!!!! GMG!!!

NO ONE do anything yet... I'm going to check with Keith about getting a practice field at the AC for the game, and try to keep it on the 8th. Dont make any changes in your schedules yet. I will work something out with these guys to make the 8th happen if that is what we need... More info coming. Med

Sorry Rick... I've had another drop besides yours because of the date change. I'm thinking of asking for a practice field at the new AC instead of Fouts so everyone who has said the 8th works can play. No sense in having the game at Fouts if people cannot play on the date it's available. I'll check and let everyone know... Med

Keith notified me that a charity event "Race 4 Life" was mistakently booked at Fouts for the 18th, but they had requested the 8th. Keith Cleared April 1st for us (yes, April Fool's Day) so we have the Stadium for all of our stuff a week earlier. Sorry about this for those who have scheduling issues, but this is out of my hands? Let me know if any problems come up, and I will do whatever I can to help. So for now, or until the next change, we are targetting the 1st of April. Other than the date change for the game, the timeline and deadlines are still in effect. Thanks for your cooperation. And now... back to 24. GMG!!!

Sorry, mis-read that number in Rick's post? I dont know that your target buyers would go for more than what it costs to make them? Of course, people often buy things just because they see North Texas on it. (I would be one of those). Interesting idea... GMG!!!

Good write up, Harry. I was surprised that Roy Covington was not with the team?This was supposed to be his year. Any word on what happend there? Also, Darrell Dickey was on the halftime show with George Dunham last night (Bball game) and said J-mo was not running track this year so he could focus on football and not have groin issues this year. I'm surprised he is okay with Quinn running track again? If your best RB isnt worth risking, why let your best WR run? Seems like a risk based on J-Mo's injury last season... Good stuff! Still wating to see what happens with the QB spot, but looks like a good session of spring ball coming. GMG!!!
