Wow. I guess we will be seeing lots of Butler on the highlight reels for the next 10 years or so. He just added a ton of stability to a growing program. They will dominate the Horizon for a long time IMO. How refreshing is it for a coach to realize that happiness is not always found chasing the mighty dollar. Kudos to coach Stevens !

I will be VERY intested in how Gaines approaches this signing, since we were not exactly at the top of his list.

Where does Denver get their money from ? The hockey program ? I just looked and their student enrollment is just 5k. I can only assume that they are saving cash by not having a FB program. Interesting...

Regarding the point system and season tickets.... The 2 points per $100 is pretty clear. But, are the season tickets 2 points per seat, or just 2 points no matter how many seats you purchase ? Just curious...thanks.

The K-State foul trouble is the one bright point so far. That certainly could help.

I love to see underdogs win. But, what are the odds that two #15 seeds win in the same day ? Statistically, I know that it doesn't matter. But, the superstitious side of me is a bit concerned about this (Robert Morris now up by 8 with 10:44 left).

I was looking at all the 13 and 14 seeds schedules. I cannot fathom how any computer or group of individuals could possibly give Ohio that high of a seed. Houston is another one that is a head scratcher. I am sure that K-State is not exactly thrilled about having to play UNT, especially in OKC. I expect us to put up a fight and not be a team that will go down easily, like most 15 seeds do.

Since when did the Sun Belt regular season champ get an automatic NIT bid ? An NCAA bid would be great publicity. But, NT would actually have a chance to make some noise in the NIT.

I am a little shocked that the Mid American conference is that far ahead of the Belt in revenue. I would have expected the two conferences to be almost identical. Poor Monroe.....ouch. Good read....

This may be the first time in my life that I have seen a kicker get so much publicity (with good reason) LOL. The young man (Olen) could not have walked into a better situation. It won't take much for us to look at him like he is some kind of superhero.

I admit that I don't know anything about him. But, I really like the high completion Pct for a high school kid. It doesn't matter whether he was surrounded by a lot of talent or not (I don't know). A lot of H.S. QB's seem to have trouble with accuracy even when they are not pressured. I wonder if the height factor kept him from being highly recruited.

I have always thought that Pitt had the best chance of joining the Big 10, if they expanded. I grew up as a Penn State fan and Pitt was the biggest rival for many years (until PSU joined the Big 10). I miss the Pitt/Penn St rivalry games.

Western Kentucky seems to be making a lot of noise on the recruiting front. While this is good for the Belt overall, I am not too excited about seeing the Hilltoppers getting strong in FB. They already have consistently good BB program.
