Yeah, things are not looking good for the Appy State game (especially with JD sitting out). However, I honestly believe the next few years are headed up from here. Seth has been stashing away a lot of talent. Once this team turns the corner, we should be in for a nice little extended run IMO. Talent is talent. Yes, coaching needs to be better on defense, along with the players. And, we still need a QB to take over and run this ship for a few years. That guy still could be on the current roster.

Dodge did have that one outstanding class in 2008. But, that has been it. We used to have trouble cracking the top 100. Our recruiting compared to G5 only schools over the last 3 years has to be near to the top group.

This is a very depleted UTEP team. There is no reason that we should not win this one easily, unless we keep turning over like we just did.

Yep. Either there are a some people here with short memories, or we have a lot of the younger generation that has not experienced the university putting a low priority on athletics. You can fault the university for paying coaches that underachieve. But please never fault the university for spending money on athletics to try and be competitive. I guess some people have forgotten about "old Denton" and the misery that went with it. Be thankful, at least in that regard.

ESPN article today on her. They DO specifically mention her transferring to North Texas to get her masters degree and to play Soccer here. Big mistake not sticking with Bean IMO. Aune had the first down already and he tried to run wide for extra yards. Terrible decision. And, he is not Jason Bean running. Not even close.

Defense is worse. Bean has to learn to not throw off his back foot. I know that is a problem for most QB's. But, Bean's passes don't have much zip on them as it is. I cringed as soon as he let the ball go on that last pick. I was actually expecting a pick 6. With that said, I am still not completely down on Bean. His legs are something special. The passing can still come around. I know that Aune will probably start the 2nd half. But, I would go back to Bean and give him some confidence. It's not like we have a great chance to win anyway, especially with the D showing no sign they can stop UTSA.

It has basically been the front 5. UTSA is taking our entire secondary out of the play by spreading their WR out as far as they can. Our coaches need to adjust that immediately.
