Colgate had a 14 point first half lead today, until Arkansas scored the last 17 points of the half. No lead is going to be safe. And, our guys MUST stay within striking distance at the half (down by 8 or less). I usually root for all upsets in the tourney. But, I kind of hope there are no big upsets until we play. Since there is usually only 1 or 2 notable upsets in the first round, I would rather not have another team use up one of those lives 😉

Yeah. I remember shooting around with one of the guys from the '85 or '86 team (in the old rec center ?). I was poking fun, because I was outshooting him from the FT line. His comment was "do you want to be a player, or a pussy that can shoot free throws". It was all in good fun. I still laugh about that comment when I think about it today. Not even sure who the player was, as I didn't really start following the BB team until the next year after that when I graduated.

Our guys do hustle. But, Purdue is going to get their points inside and a lot of 2nd chances IMO. We can win if we hit our 3's, play aggressive from start to finish and force occasional turnovers before they can post up. I can't wait. It will indeed be a chess match.

Cobe Williams went out before the game due to injured hand. Apparently a couple more players went out with "tweaks" during the game. Not sure exactly who that latter 2 were. But, La Tech fans are complaining about a late injury bug hitting their team today.

A suddenly injured La Tech team is currently down by 3 against FAU. If that score holds, the next game becomes much more winnable. Come on guys. Take it to ODU.
