Spot on, and a couple of great questions. If the answers are "yes", then, while a little more pointed than mine would be, Emmitt's criticism is also valid: I know there are alot of different opinions on this, but I'm of the mentality that you play every game to win that game. And I hate to bring this up, but that's why I was on board with playing Thompson in the AKSt game in 09. So, if coach Canales & coach McCarney believed McNulty was the best option to win the game, then OK... lets hope there was a lesson learned, because he was not. If indeed this was a learning experience for McNulty, then please follow Emmitt's advice above.

If we beat Tulsa Saturday then the Mean Green are 2-3 and on their way to a surprising season (Bowl bound!), and I was wrong. If we lose to Tulsa Saturday then the wins start next week when FAU rolls into Denton just as I predicted.

This is all well and good, but perception is reality sir. As far as perception goes: TCU is a football powerhouse school and may as well have 50K students enrolled, an entire metroplex area frothing at the mouth to watch them play, and money out the wazoo. UNT is a football also-ran school and may as well have 4K students enrolled, a message board of die-hard fans and an apathetic remainder fan base, and $0. Facts are not necessary when trying to reach the paying customers. This is where we are right now. Now, if we win... perception changes!
