  1. That only shows the Light The Tower collective. There are others... including the one Harry has on this very site!
  2. Pretty sure about 90% of folks around here would rather see these two kick rocks than put on Green and represent us ever again, sadly.
  3. The portal is absolutely flooded. Wonder if we'll see some of these guys back on the squad in 24-25. I would think our collectives have enough $ to counter any peer mid-majors from taking our guys, but I doubt we'll be able to counter any high-major NIL$.
  4. Well, Congratulations anyway Andy!
  5. Holy cow. Looking over this roster, I recognize maybe 1/4 of the names. 😢
  6. I didn't even remember. Not sure how anyone could think Rajon Rondo's or Lamar Odom's tenures weren't worse. As for the thread, I think it's really funny that 2-5 days prior, everyone was citing Buggs as an important returning piece (I guess they were assuming he couldn't/wouldn't transfer again?), and then as soon as this news hits, he's "special needs", "one-dimensional player", and "easily replaceable". People continually misguiding their anger to the players instead of the system.
  7. I’m pretty sure countless dudes like Matt Phillips & DJ Draper “sacrificed and gave their all for the betterment of their teams and the school.” We letting them in the HOF? … Or do you have to actually merit it with outstanding results on the field/court? When Hope Trautwein (arguably the most prolific player not named Joe Greene ever to play for UNT in any sport) gets in the HOF, are you gonna be upset about it? I know you wouldn’t be alone if you were.
  8. Are we seriously setting next year’s bar at .500? I know we’ve experienced a lot of heartbreaks & let-downs over the years, but I have faith in Hodge. I encourage you to join me. Where do I collect my winnings?
  9. NC State is “that damn team”. Playing with utmost confidence, and complete belief they’re going to win the second they hit the floor. I would not be surprised if they beat Purdue. That said, UConn is a special team. I’d be surprised if they don’t cut down the nets.
  10. Do what's best for you and your family. I hope you succeed! ...but I'm probably in the minority around here.
  11. Believe me, if I hit the Powerball, ya'll are gonna notice a lot of nice players showing up wearing Green, and I'm going to have a bunch of autographed Mean Green paraphernalia. There's no justification... just the way it is now. The players "earn" the money with their level of play. Be it, in high school, or college.
  12. Duh! "Value" is in the eye of the cash holder. If a bunch of wealthy alumni/donors want a dude on their team, they offer him a NIL deal of $X (whatever that number is they want to spend), and then get him to sign a basketball for each of the donors. That's pretty much all it takes.
  13. Right. That and autograph sessions as well.
  14. I don't have a problem with a D2 AA, if we're not having to rely on him as the go-to guy right away. Certainly can be a scoring option for us, but yeah, with the deliberate pace we play offensively, it's tough to drain shot clock, then kick to a guy like Wells with 3-5 seconds left & expect him to hit with the same efficiency he was hitting at Central OK. I don't think it would be a wasted scholarship though. Kai was great in his role here.
  15. Pretty much the exact scenario happened last year. Stone started the season, and underperformed. The offense was somewhat-saved by one of the better QBs we've seen around here in a while not named Fine. The defense was not saved... at all.
  16. Sure! Not nearly as big as the ones who are breaking off though. Washington State and Oregon State have large money commits. Pitt, Louisville, Wake Forest, etc... all do too. But they're not USC/Washington/Oregon/Clemson/FSU/etc...
  17. Rhubyn's contributions should definitely put him in the HOF conversation.
  18. HIIIIIIIIGHLY doubtful. Dudes that get "pushed out" are the ones who aren't contributing (See Morgan and Moore for us recently), not dudes who are starting games for you. That would be like Hodge pushing Stone or Walker out over guys like Moore/Morgan.
  19. I think without Rubin for a lot of the season, he sorta 'seized' that opening. Nothing wrong with that really, as we needed someone to step up. Who's to say he couldn't do the same as Tylor & Javion, and improve from year 1 to year 2?
  20. Pointing out his liabilities is not really warranted, as we'd all be thrilled if he returned. It's not really fair to compare him to Perry either. They had different strengths, and Perry was here for 2 years & improved from year 1 to year 2.
  21. He was a JUCO guy last year, and only played here 1 year, so unless he had a huge classload (20+hrs/semester) plus maymester & summer classes... I highly doubt this. I bet he finds his way to a SEC or ACC school though. Best of luck to him. Leaves a scoring void though. Get on the phone with Ivy-Curry! He would be an excellent addition to the line of explosive JUCO players we've had over the past 5 years!
  22. Apparently this is funny to SMU guy. Also, don't forget Louisville & Pitt in that "leftover" bin.
  23. Y'all really are clueless. I bet Duke is watching the addition of Cal/Stanford/SMU, and the attempts by FSU/Clemson to buy out (I bet others aren't far behind) carefully. ACC will be a dinosaur (like the PAC12) soon enough. Enjoy your couple of years with it in tact. I honestly hope to have SMU back in the AAC when the dust settles.
  24. He really deserves some rest with no expectations after putting up with SMU's crap for the past couple of years.
