  1. Let me get this straight. If you find yourself in a shooting slump for a few minutes in a couple of games, "you suck"? ...despite all of the other minutes in all of the other games you've played? In your "life", you've never made mistakes or been in a slump? Do you suck?
  2. You truly never really know what will resonate with people and why... I will say, as an oldhead, it's obvious that anyone saying this is the greatest diss track of all time has never heard ETHER, but I digress... Kendrick writes a really good diss track against a Canadian superstar who's music is more radio-friendly, and popular. For some reason, the youth of America falls in love with it. Many of these same people were probably mega fans of Drake beforehand (and maybe still are?). So of course Hov wants to see this at the SuperBowl, and makes the call. Of course he's gonna play the song. It just won a ton of Grammys, why would he leave it out? He plays the song, and the stereotypical people that you'd guess would hate it... hate it (See CBL's picture above). These are the folks who thought The Who or Bruce Springsteen was their favorite SB halftime show ever. Kendrick fans come out and say the song wasn't really written for people like that anyway. I mean, the song is called "Not like us" for crying out loud! It's funny that it resonates with folks like this though: Somehow, I don't think the same folks saying the song wasn't written for MAGA to appreciate would turn around and say, "yeah, it was written for this zesty guy in a cardigan!". I love America. Carry on.
  3. Yeah, OK basketball-ableist. On a serious note: If we find ourselves in a scoring drought of over 5min, it would make sense to bring in someone fresh for a change of pace, or try something different. I understand the calls for that. However, in doing so, you're also communicating to your main rotation guys that you've lost confidence in them to shoot out of said slump. That isn't a good thing either, and possibly a worse long-term outcome with you main rotation guys always having it in the back of their minds that if I'm not hitting tonight, coach is gonna pull me. For me, it's better to have faith that my guys are going to find their way out of a drought/slump. This keeps their confidence higher. Just my $.02
  4. Kinda makes you wonder.... I like Brophy, but he makes around $200k, and is about to get a pay raise with his new "Passing Game Coordinator" promotion... I wonder how much ACU is paying Harrell to be their OC, and if it ever crossed Morris' mind to pay Harrell basically whatever ACU is paying him (which can't be too much more than what Brophy will make) to be the "Passing Game Coordinator" here so he has another brilliant Leach mind to help call/scheme... and no-doubt, pull really good QBs here? As nice as Brophy is, I think everyone here can agree Harrell would provide an upgrade there. What an incredible opportunity missed.
  5. Wow. That's... an opinion.
  6. We just have to keep winning & hope those teams above us lose down the stretch. I hope the guys are keeping their eyes on the bubble and noticing we're not being included as well. This will force them to stay locked-in all the way through the Conf. tourney. If they see themselves in the "last 4 in", they might start taking their foot off the gas.
  7. Hello @JohnRothstein, You're welcome for your content. Feel free to drop by anytime! We have plenty of info for you!
  8. Why deflect to tearing down a coach who's team just beat us in a bowl game in our own backyard? A coach that still got a better grade in this evaluation than our own? Do we all agree Morris is deserving of a "C" grade? Or does anyone feel he deserves better ... or worse?
  9. He's had one crack at a postseason, and lost in the 3rd round to big-bad FAU, and then the 2nd round of the NIT to the eventual champs. So it's not like he makes his bowl game and gets spanked. He's 3-2 in postseason play so far. Jared may want to start prepping the extension talks.
  10. Everything is going great.
  11. Once bitten, twice shy... I get it. And it was one thing to have success with 2 key ballers that came in under McCasland (Jones/Scott), then add some pieces around them... but it's something else entirely when you have to replace your top 6 scorers from the previous season (Dello is the leading returning scorer from 23-24)... and get better. This season is already a tremendous coaching success. Not only for his X's/O's, but certainly with getting these guys to buy-into his system which is not flashy offensively, and extremely demanding defensively... generally, not a player's favorite system to play in. There's a reason NT was picked to finish 7th in the preseason poll! Coach Hodge & the guys are playing with house money sitting #1 in the AAC right now. The fact we're all chatting about at-large bid possibilities if we don't win the AAC tournament is a testament to the job he's done this year so far. Dig out a win on the road Feb.3, and this talk will get much louder.
  12. So is this what we need to expect out of Moulaye now? Since the new year, his pts/reb lines have been as-follows: 17/8 - Memphis 6/6 - Rice (a beatdown from the jump, & Atin/Lorient were on fire, so he wasn't needed as much). 10/6 - ECU 13/8 - UTSA 12/5 - Temple 14/13 - FAU 16/6 - WichitaSt. It's nice to have "NIT-Moulaye" back & better than ever!
  13. Um, who's "you"? Do you mean UNT beat UH in basketball? Or, finding this guy in the parking lot of a tourney game? If the former, let's not get carried away. If the latter, God Speed.
  14. Me trying to find the names of dudes I know from last season.
  15. I wouldn't say 0% chance, but yeah, in that scenario (UNT loses to Memphis in AAC Final) there would be too much going for us at that time, especially if McNeese (1st in Southland/#66Kenpom), UTSt (2nd in MWC/#43Kenpom) also make deep runs in their tournaments &/or win them. It would really help if High Point wins the Big South regular season &/or tournament (currently 2nd). Maybe more like a 10% chance we get left out, but if so, I guarantee we'd be in the "1st 4 out".
