  1. Hmmm, Tulsa is pretty good about getting away with holding.
  2. Uh, wouldn't that be 2-1?
  3. So, the band got 'er done?
  4. +1, and, I only kinda hate to tell y'all, the Green Brigade IS 4-0.
  5. Galloway is good, at least informative and entertaining without being obnoxious.
  6. I don't believe these statistics are as accurate as we might like. And, with the PA system still messed up, many of us have a hard time telling what's happening along the line of scrimmage, not to mention that the statistics don't tell us everything that's happening (guys getting double teamed and freeing up others, etc). I'm just now wondering if McCoy didn't tip the pass that Royce Hill intercepted.
  7. +1. I love your sarcasm, but you'd have to "coach up" most in this thread for them to get it.
  8. Sorry, must disagree slightly. Not too hot; too damn hot.
  9. +1 for the first appearance I have seen of "milfy", although she's not really my type.
  10. True that. People take Charles Grassley seriously, including people with a lot to say about sports and law.
  11. Woohoo! I'll be able to wear my Mean Green zippered hoodie. Clothes talk, sure. Yet, it's a thing to behold, and a great Christmas gift my wife got for me last year.
  12. I agree. We should know something about our capabilities by this time next week.
  13. Well, i feel bad that I was the first to post anything about him on our football recruiting forum (the day before he was announced as a commit). I'm over him now though, and looking forward to seeing what our other tackles (such as this walkon) can do: Michael Ladner, background of hard work in the country, bright future as a surgeon. There's lot of young guys with talent coming out of high school; talent without hard work and the right attitude won't get it in college. BTW, I know some story about Ladner, maybe this same one, was posted on here not long ago, but we need to remind ourselves of what undersized, overachieving guys can accomplish.
  14. I thought the crowd was justifiable in voicing its displeasure with the officiating. The one noncall I thought was most obvious seems, unfortunately rather common. That would be the lack of blowing the whistle to call the play dead on one of our running plays when the pile had been moving backwards for several seconds and about ten yards. I explained to my wife that this can result in players getting hurt unnecessarily and sure enough, a Houston player had to be helped off the field after the pile finally collapsed.
  15. I'm really changing my mind to some extent, and have decided that Tevinn Cantly is starting to show some improvement; he did get a tackle for loss last night, and seemed to be getting double (or more) teamed at times. He seems to be in good physical shape this year, and I hope to see steady improvement from him.
  16. I was ok with it; my take is that it was situational, and I was glad to see the first TD no matter who scored it. Once that McNulty (in a series after he scored the TD) threw into triple coverage for an incomplete pass, I could understand why Thompson is our starter. McNulty will be fine, so will Osborn, but both, like a lot of young QB's, will have to learn about recognizing coverages, protecting the ball, and being a field manager.
  17. Tony, I only wish I had found you and your group, as well as Kram1 and his wife, at the tailgater. Got there plenty early with The Tasty Greek and our usual bunch, we all had a great time, and met plenty of new folks. I was thinking It'd be as easy walking around finding people as at the old Fouts, but no. I think I'll be a lot more organized at the next one though, especially since I'll be set up with the red lot parking for the next home game (upgraded my MGC membership once I was there for that). All in all, the tailgating is definitely awesome, and I'm thinking we'll have a better chance at the "w" Sept. 24.
  18. Yeah, and those "mouthpieces". Seemed like you only used to hear about mobsters having those. Back in the day, you could see the missing teeth so much better.
  19. Still not used to starting that close to the opponent's endzone?
  20. Still, I always feel he can take it to the house when he gets it, even deep in the endzone, like he was on that 75 yd return.
  21. I had been thinking before I read this that at least in the recent past, a lineman or two would get his arms up to try and tip the ball. I noticed the 6'6" de from Argyle who is our most recent recruit mentioned that as something (at least ) that he could do if he couldn't get to the quarterback. I hope someone will show that video to our defensive linemen. As disappointed as I was in them tonight, it did look like the coaching staff was on their case. Still, it didn't look like anything creative was done as far as play calling; If anyone more knowledgeable than me saw any stunts, please correct me. Heck, if we can't get any pressure with 4 down linemen, go with 3 and send a rusher from another position; something. These quarterbacks will just take us apart with all that time in the pocket.
  22. Of course; Lance Dunbar insisted upon it.
  23. Welcocme back, Tony!
  24. So much for that nine-figure contribution.
