Petraeus resigns
eulessismore replied to H-towngreen's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Yeah, a cop I knew said that if a woman was stopped for a traffic violation and flashed her boobs, she DID get the ticket. I hate it for Petraeus, he was great at what he did, but he needed to keep it in his pants better. -
Well, that's kind of a problem since we're not quite to mid November.

V. Lane needs to help get this game

I would, but a bishop is sort of a volunteer church leader; several wards make up a stake (there's two wards just here in Euless). And my wife would probably say the something similar to when we were trying to figure out Canales' religion, "it doesn't matter if he's a Mormon, he knows how to win". -
So, Krum will have an Amtrak station and Denton won't? How dumb. That thing should have a spur that drops people off at Apogee. Denia folks will love it.

+1, I agree with what you said, except I wasn't hammered, and it looked fine, other than one series in the 2nd half when their running game was ripping off 8 or 10 yards a carry. Fortunately, when they got to 4th and 1, they forgot what they had just been doing and shanked a chip shot fg attempt.

Yeah, I actually figured it out after I posted it; a real stretch there, 97and 03.

I don't think that necessarily equates to "high level official". Sort of like leader of all the Mormons in a county. However, I'm not a Mormon; my wife is, so maybe I'll ask her. -
Ah, are you serious?

I'd like to get a lot more from our QB play and the passing game overall, but blaming the ball being stripped on DT? We really did get lucky on the fumble out of bounds. One reasonable goal for next year: at least have a passing game that can set up the run.
-
Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at. I don't know if we could or even should go to a bowl game with a 6 win season, but getting 6 wins would be a huge step in the right direction.

If the team that beat ULL shows up, yes. If the team that lost to MTSU appears, no.

I'm needing one reserved ticket for tomorrow's game; will pay a reasonable price (don't know if I can walk up and buy one or what that would cost). I'll be at red parking tomorrow, hopefully tailgating with the Tasty Greek and crew.

Just for a little comparison, we could've hired this guy
eulessismore replied to oldguystudent's topic in Mean Green Football
I somehow thought he'd fit in out there in the Palouse (an early University President stop for V. Lane Rawlins). Of course, the bare cupboard argument gets a little thin, but what kind of players could that guy Wulff have attracted with the kind of W-L record he put up there? I think Wulff went a long way towards proving that no matter how bad things seem to be, they can always get worse. Mike Price would have done well to have stayed there in Pullman, but it's hard to turn down a place like Alabama. Then again, maybe Wulff didn't leave such an empty cupboard at Wazzu; and maybe Leach just emptied it out: http://www.cougcenter.com/2011/11/29/2590112/paul-wulff-fired-wsu-football-head-coach Of course, the themes of these stories are universal, and the trail of the serpent runs through them all. -
+1. Yeah, Olawale. Every time I saw him get the rock in a Cowboys exhibition game, he would move the pile forward. That seems like an attribute that could be useful in red zone situations for a couple of teams I've followed. But, walk on players (or undrafted at NFL level) have to get noticed by coaches when there's a need for their talents.

Logic on a sports message board? Fail. -
I'd suggest Willie Hubbard, QB for Euless Trinity's 2009 State Championship team. For one thing, he's the only Trinity player on our roster now, and for another, I talked to a young lady who was wearing a #34 Jersey (yeah, in pink) that said "Hubbard". Having noticed him on the sideline earlier, I stopped and asked her about Willie. She reminded me of what he had done to help Trinity win that state championship. I told her that I hoped he'd see more playing time, and she said, "all he needs is a chance". And no, I'm not predicting he'll be a QB here at 5'11", 170. But, he helped Trinity do something it's usually not very good at doing, coming from 3 scores down to win a football game. He's listed as WR, but I'm wondering if he might convert well to db; he's reported to be speedy, and according to the young lady, has another 2 years. Folks, I know we've had a couple of Trojans who didn't work out well for us, but we can't ignore this hotbed of football talent that surrounds me here. One thing about these young men; if one or two of them start liking to play at a school, they start recruiting their friends. Turner Smiley commits to UNT - Mean Green Blog

yup! -
So, I noticed that Chaz Sampson was not dressed for the game. So, does anyone know whether he is injured. Yes, I know he hasn't pleased the coaches enough to actually get playing time, but just wondering: "what up?".

This is a horrible officiating crew.

The refs didn't care. -
I need to get that app where I can find my iphone when it's lost, but haven't really done much with that thing since I (i?) bought it a couple of months ago. Sometimes I feel like the same dumb guy with a new smart phone.

Well, I was actually thinking the same question when I saw the "alumni" North Texas Dancers take the field at halftime. I know the rules for football are different, but our Dancers dominate, I tell you, DOMINATE!.

Home or hope? Still, another home game. Or hope game.

QB Brock Berglund in a boot...anyone know why?
eulessismore replied to BIG DAWG's topic in Mean Green Football
I do remember wondering why Jones was wearing a boot. The whole thing of identifying players by number gets difficult when players are "sharing" numbers, I suppose to allow those being redshirted and out for the season to wear jerseys.
