  1. I'm convinced of this: If Brock is the real deal, we have a chance; if not, same problems.
  2. Well, Mac was quoted as saying we'd do it like Bill Snyder at KState, and they just got some award for the most laughable class. Maybe he's taking the whole thing too literally.
  3. So, how were we going to sign Jermaine Antoine, Sergio Medina, and the guy from McKinney? We only brought one guy in late, Syd Moore. Sorry, I just don't get it.
  4. I agree with your idea of bringing in Omar Tebo, and prefer him to this list.
  5. But would he show up for the radio show himself, or send a substitute?
  6. Colleyville Heritage has been good lately.
  7. Here's where another cornerbacks coach "left to pursue other opportunities", maybe we could hire him. Unfortunately, his coaching results (119 out of 120 in the FBS) beg the question of how he ever got hired as a college coach after not being around the game since high school, but the guy has a degree from HARVARD LAW and was an assistant for Senator Joe Lieberman, for gosh sakes, and look at this way; he now has college coaching experience! Here's the link: http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/messages/chrono/40230734/0/0/40231781 Let's face it, we need somebody to coach our improved cb recruits. And I'm talking Big 12 coaching experience, baby!
  8. +1, and I love that bit they do on KNTU (not even sure what they're advertising or whatever), with the recurring "let it go.....". That fire you started when cooking that experimental dish, "let it go....". Silly I know, but something about it, for me anyway.
  9. Well, other than my annual dental exam this morning showing no cavities, I'm not putting this down as a good day.
  10. Hey, maybe we can meet at the first tailgate next year for a drink or something. I'll take coke...in the 12 oz cans, cherry, and regular, not zero.
  11. Heck, I'm just going to make something up. I say he just couldn't wait any longer to get back up to Montana and flyfish for steelhead along the Yellowstone. A river runs through it, y'know. Probably just catch and release.
  12. Well, I'm not a big one on conspiracy theories, but this seems like a very odd time for a hotshot recruiter to "pursue other options". Oh, sorry, I meant "opportunities". And then there is the euphemistic cousin to these, "pursuing other interests".
  13. Hey, he's a high school senior. If he ends up at UNT, I'll never begrudge him his fling with TCU. Especially if he's a game changer.
  14. Eh, a lot of us white folks don't feel like Malcolm X was a hater. But I guess someone thought he needed to go. Honestly, with what we've been through, we should be glad that UNT folks still care enough to go to the games, as Emmitt does.
  15. I'm starting to like the players being recruited and walking on from Denton and nearby counties. A lot of players and their families will feel quite at home in Denton.
  16. Multi sport? Basketball player/coach?
  17. So does anyone see Mike Petersen getting reassigned...to coaching mbb?
  18. Great to hear!
  19. Well, I don't know who is assigned to recruit Euless Trinity, but I would certainly consider it a good idea for Gaines to be assigned there. He recruited Darius McGhee to Montana state from Trinity before he came here (not that I'm saying McGhee would have been a good fit at QB for UNT). After Gaines left Montana State, McGhee got Tre Robinson to come to transfer there from Nebraska, and at least one other former Trinity guy transferred in there from a major program. Long story short, once the pipeline got started, those guys started recruiting each other. Oh, and speaking of former Euless Trinity quarterbacks, Willie Hubbard, who was instrumental in helping win a state championship for them is now at UNT as a wr, after transferring from Northeastern Oklahoma. I sure hope the coaches can find some ways to get him in the game. The guy can make plays. Heck, I'd have him throw a pass off the reverse once in a while if I were them.
  20. Just a lame attempt at humor on a weekend when I'm not finding much to laugh about. I will join with those who already praised the rope jumpers and Big Rog.
  21. Here's the link to their website originally provided by Thor: http://www.ranchman.com/ From their home page, click on "Press", then "Falconer Magazine", where they quote David explaining why he buys feedlot finished beef from Kansas and Nebraska.
  22. They have plans to build a nice stadium.
