Dude, you are already..."beyond the green". -
genuine NFL jersey". Because, folks, I'm sure there are much much better deals on jerseys and hoodies out there. Tell you what: Tomorrow, I will post in regard to zippered UNT hoodies, historical West Texas Hotels, the UNT board of regents, viewing celestial bodies, javelina hogs, and create a narrative that hangs together while unifying all those elements. All will revealed tomorrow. In the meantime, just remind yourself that software CANNOT generate a thread that can be understood and appreciated by a human. And if you have to ask yourself one question, maybe it could be something like, "if I do it with my robot lover, am I cheating on my blowup doll?"

That is sad. He always seemed like someone who was always just a good ole boy who coached football, without really getting a big attitude about it.

Fixed it for you; although I can remember when we've won on the road, and I can't remember when we've won consecutive games. -
I find it kind of hard to care what he thinks tweets. Like Marty said, don't let the door hit your *ss.

Brett Vito: Student’s Twitter action heeds McCarney’s plan

Darn it, I meant to give him a +1 and hit the wrong arrow. Can someone help a brother out and show him some love? -
Hey, no need to apologize. I have to practice choir on Sunday mornings, so resorted to clapping and stomping on the bleachers (conveniently having been left vacant earlier). Only have so much voice to give.

Ain't gonna happen. Not saying it should or shouldn't, but won't with Mac.

Yeah, 205. It was so loud I don't have to yell so loud anymore.

I feel it's likely you did have something to do with that, and I do think it was a significantly larger crowd than Idaho. I really doubt if "everybody" (junior cheerleaders?) there was counted. And stick with your goal of 30k; it's easier to achieve a goal if you have one and keep moving towards it.

Whatcha gon' do if EulessEagle shows up? And I am not him.

I'm not so sure about that. According to their own website, they're owned by a consortium of NBC and private equity groups Blackstone and Bain; here's the link: http://feedback.weather.com/knowledgebase/articles/27826-who-owns-the-weather-channel- They did buy the Weather Underground back in 2012 though, so I think it's getting to be questionable how much independence there is among the weather media. Maybe it would have been just too ironic for Fox News to be at the top of a corporate structure for the Wunderground, named as it was for the 60's radical student group. Not that any of these have been shy about money, and they all still use raw data produced by the National Weather Service, and I doubt they pay anything for it.
-
Well, I have shopped around at the weather Underground, the Weather Channel, and the National Weather Service. Some of the damn things are awful, but I'm going to take the NWS with high of 86 and 40% chance of rain. It hasn't gotten any worse since MeanMag started the thread, so maybe they've all been furloughed. Climate data has always been subject to local political pressure, so why not weather. I'm going to guess this is all some fast moving stuff with electrical activity, leading to extended time in the concessions area, where we may all get a chance to know each other better and buy more Mean Green gear. Then, we'll have the entire system move out of the area, and welcome the cooler temperatures and lowered humidity that will follow. Of course, the visiting team will suffer the greatest effects of the heat, humidity, and game delays, leading to that good old Apogee Advantage. Better now?
-
YES! Finally, sometime states the perhaps too obvious point, although I think 90 also has been saying this in so many words for a while. I'll always remember our local high school coach (yeah, I know), Steve Lineweaver, saying at a booster club meeting of our Trinity Trojans, "we pass to set up the run".

Remember this: (1.) Noboby really knows what the weather will be like 4 days from now. (2.) Monsoonal rains like we had at the Ohio game are more common in September.

There is AD sponsored trick or treating for kids
eulessismore replied to emmitt01's topic in Mean Green Football
Let's just pretend that Oct. 30 is "kid Halloween" and Oct. 31 is "grownup Halloween". If anyone asks me to, I will post photos of the North Texas Dancers at at a Halloween game we played against Western Kentucky in maybe, 2010, just to illustrate what we can do at a "grownup Halloween". I'll talking the difference between, on the one hand, "cute costumes", and on the other, "class and style". First, I'm trying to think of some way not to take Halloween any more seriously than I ever have. Honestly folks, if North Texas students and alums have forgotten how to party on Halloween, we've come a long way down from my undergrad days. -
Until I see a "right now" weather map showing rain covering entire state of Texas (like the home game against Ohio), I'm forced to think "no big deal". Even if that happens, wife is out of the country, and would have no chance to look at me wet over 99% of my body (you guess the 1%) and say, "this is insane". One thing that sucko weather provided back in those days was that, if you left the stands to take temporary shelter in the concessions area, you could not look around without realizing how completely decrepit Fouts was.

We OWN the third quarter!

This. There is no "medical redshirt"; it's a "hardship waiver", and we should have all figured out that's not automatic for us.
-
A lot of good comments here, but one thing I've noticed is that every time I've followed a game where we had a field goal attempt blocked and run back, we lose. I don't think the one blocked in the Army game at Fouts was run all the way back, but it was just a huge momentum shift, just like the one today. Yeah, our offense sucked a lot today, but theirs would have sucked worse if it hadn't been for the personal foul penalties that kept their first scoring drive alive. I guess the thing that disappoints me about the offense is that it seemed like we had figured out early enough in the Ball State game that we had to open things up; now it's like we forgot what seemed to work for us and went back into a shell.

UNT Professor kicks out student Student wearing A&M shirt
eulessismore replied to GreenBat's topic in Mean Green Football
This never happened when I was a geography student at North Texas. The faculty simply "strongly encouraged" attendance at school sporting events. A word to the wise was sufficient. -
Thanks for the laugh; not right out loud, but a laugh, nonetheless.
