Ok, so of you who were at the game, did you all, as I did, know after the 7th play of the stand, that the 8th play would also hold them? Just wondering. I'm not really sure when they whole thing started to become...knowledge.

I'll say 38-21, and we win. This time, we don't miss any PAT attempts, and also get a field goal. Defense gives up 14 and offense 7; we score 7 on special teams play, they score none.

Great point about the importance of the kicking game. We haven't had any real kicking problems during the last 3 games we've won. One missed PAT, but nothing that really mattered in the won-loss column.

+1 to an exponential factor. Finally, someone understands the current state of construction zone management. Still, they finally got those flyovers finished south of Grapevine. I was just trying one Sunday after leaving church, thinking, "you don't want to have a flat with only this dinky little shoulder to work with". Sure enough, saw some poor young dude with that exact problem, looked like he was aging faster than someone in the advanced phase of meth addiction. Remind me to carry one of those emergency blinkers and help out the next unfortunate I see in that situation. People used to say Texans would never take mass transit; now everybody wants a train station within walking distance of their work.

Our local high school coach here in Euless, Steve Lineweaver, knows how to get production out of a small back like this; near the goal line,just have your (large, here in Euless) offensive line open a small hole, and have the small back (hard to see behind the big OL guys) extend the ball through that small opening in the line enough to break the plane of the goal line. There's some advantage in being hard to see.

After we stuff him for negative yardage Thursday night, I hope he still has the confidence to tear Tulane a new one.

Well I would like to add my compliments to Houstonmeangreen for putting the whole thing together. My wife Arelene really enjoyed the event, liked the place, and enjoyed meeting some new folks, like Houston and Smoothfresh, as well as old friends like KingDL1 and many of his regular tailgating crew. Yeah, the big screen would have been nice, and we probably deserved it, but felt like I could see the game quite well. And we did get the sound once the UNT game was the first back on after the storm (can't remember the screen; seemed kind of hard to focus on things after that whale of a storm and the broadcast interruption). We all knew pretty well how things would end at that point. Anyway, thanks to Houston for making it happen and a big shout out to all who made it.
