  1. Well, it's just sad for all concerned, especially for those who were first hit, then left with no help by the driver. If Kidsy is indeed the driver, we can forget about him seeing the field for UNT again, but that really pales compared to all the other consequences.
  2. Dude, I really wasn't trying to insult you, and thought I was closer to insulting Quoner, who I think can take it with a grain of salt. I only mentioned it because my work (involving street name review for a large city) requires having others correct their spelling errors. Honestly, it gets a bit tiresome, but is important for various reasons, including support of 9-1-1 dispatching.
  3. That's a hell of a thing to say, but Drybread reminds us that spelling really is still important.
  4. Nah, just went into stealth recruiting mode.
  5. Simmons? You mean Patrick? We had an OL coach, Simmonds, who was not retained.
  6. Or how about this guy, standout at Alabama and "permanent team captain", seems to have done more with less at Jacksonville State, an author, a poet (I mean, it's a contrast to the chemist from Eastern Carolina), and motivational speaker? http://toddbates.org/about/
  7. You're why we can't have anything nice. On to the next subject, how about this guy? He could also help tutor in chemistry: http://www.ecupirates.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/yellock_marc00.html
  8. Main question: who's available?
  9. Well, dayum. The only upside to this is that it makes it hard to say there's no upward mobility from coaching at UNT.
  10. First thing he should do: schedule SMU. If he can beat them coaching JMU, no reason he couldn't coaching TSU.
  11. Well, I like this guy, but maybe it's because he's from the Wichita Falls area. I wonder what NT03 things of this. I find his background with small programs like the Millsaps intriguing. Those programs can't rely on superior talent, they have to work hard and be creative.
  12. You periodically make minor yet boring variations on this most stupid of all UNT arguments. Kill the superachievers to encourage those who haven't achieved anything of note in the lifetime of its target audience? This is what gives socialism a bad name. Get this straight: UNT is known throughout the world for excellence in music; UNT is known throught the United States for its misery in athletics. Why are we not known worldwide for our misery in athletics? Because most people in the world only know football as a game played with a round ball by guys bouncing said ball off their heads. Get back in touch when heads of government throughout the world request and pay for the presence of a UNT athletic program. Better yet, tell us, why did you choose to attend a school that is world famous for its artists, writers, and musicians?
  13. Yes! I expect, when I show up, for people to say, "break out the good stuff"!
  14. They'll find them. Their "friends" will probably post a pic of them on twitter, if they haven't already.
  15. You too Tony; hope to see all of us in happier times next fall!
  16. I'll never hold it against any UNT player that they were only a backup at Alabama.
  17. Well, this is what Harry (and a lot of us) has been asking for.
  18. I've had company from out of state, when we were touring Denton, want to get some Texas barbeque. I took them to Metzler's for a German-Texan sandwich. Always get that with the beer battered onion rings. Even your teetotaling Mormon relatives can't resist.
  19. Dude, thanks for the laugh, and a merry Christmas to you and yours.
  20. Hey, we're moving up from being "MFers".
  21. We've been needing a guy like him for a long time.
