  1. Music courses aren't fluff here.
  2. Should have given him the ball more at El Paso.
  3. What this is telling me is that this coaching staff is leaving no stone unturned in scouting for talent. I mean, how may of us even know where the Siskiyous are (hint, Oregon mountains, not the Cascades, not the Coast Ranges), much less that there's a jc there.
  4. It won't happen. At least it doesn't happen in the time travel shows I watch. Maybe you could be nice to someone before they meet their fate, but prevent their untimely death? Too many unintended consequences.
  5. I heard Goree and Robinson were caught in a four way with a blow up doll and a robot lover.
  6. And this has what to do with football?
  7. I was a bit surprised to see their uni featuring the unit patch of my old unit, the 82nd Airborne Division. Here's some explanation of that "paratrooper look" (as I left the Army, the 82nd was the only true "Airborne", i.e. "Paratrooper" Division remaining). Also, (and you have to read all the way to the bottom, as I know you always do), the explanation of the 82nd's "All American" nickname, which, by the way, dates from World War 1, when someone noticed that the 82nd Division had members from all states, at a time when almost all divisions drew their members from the same state: http://news.nike.com/news/army-82nd-airborne-division-football-uniform This article, from the Fayetteville Observer, has an awesome video imbedded, honoring the 82nd Airborne in World War 2: http://www.fayobserver.com/blogs/news/fort_bragg_report/west-point-to-don-all-american-uniforms-to-honor-nd/article_022c5786-bb0f-11e6-9ad6-074bd98d6251.html Another one, in case the above link doesn't work, includes a pretty good explanation of the "All American" nick, and a mention of our HOD bowl matchup: http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/page/QTP_161205ArmyUniforms-/army-wear-world-war-ii-82nd-paratrooper-inspired-uniforms-navy And, by the way, Jeff Monken was wearing the version of the 82nd Unit Patch for dress uniforms, in red white and blue.
  8. I hope folks can take this as enough reason to quit thinking "easy bowl win".
  9. They're cadets at West Point; they are motivated. Being an ex paratrooper, I'm hoping the Golden Knights will perform.
  10. We've probably been too kind to Bleacher Report, perhaps repaying a kindness, but they're really bad at what they do.
  11. If you were in El Paso today, it was probably one of the worst days there since the one Marty Robbins sang about.
  12. I gave you 1 for giving me 1 for giving him 1. If more people did this on their work email, they could shut the internet down.
  13. I gave him one on your behalf, as a matter of honor.
  14. A complete sentence is always good, but can't UT just come out with one for Strong. I mean, a grown man, especially a coach, can understand "you're fired".
  15. So, does anyone know if there are still those missile themed street names in the area? Of course, there was Missile Base Road, but there was a nearby subdivision with streets named after various missiles, "Saturn", etc.
  16. I still think he may be just around the corner, right up the street.
  17. Well, I guess it's good to know that one has to go back over a hundred years to see the kind of futility you and I witnessed here recently. Also, it's reassuring to know that (barely, after those years), we still have an overall winning record. This season has been very important in so many ways.
  18. Bakersfield=OkieWest.
  19. Goree and another WR out for team rules violation. Here's a bio from Elijah Mac's high school: http://www.graceprep.org/mcintyre-signs-with-unt/.
  20. I'm cool with it, because I don't have any place to keep the darn thing. If the cheerleaders got more tangible benefits from their work for the AD, maybe I could see a problem. Was the raffle very well publicized? I haven't been keeping up, so just wonder.
  21. Hell yeah, we could have been floating the Comal every other year. I wonder if they still have that little tourist trap next to it with the piano playing chicken. And then there's the "Texas State" connection.
  22. Have we Halloween time traveled back to last years homecoming game? Will DMac be fired this coming Saturday?
  23. Hey, the stand really impressed a lot of people around the area. I know of at least 1 guy, an A$M grad, who had never seen a UNT football game, somehow got comped tickets for the night, and marvelled about the greatness of it.
