For all practical purposes, dead or alive, they are very very quiet.

Leadership is borne of accomplishment. If you do not deliver, you will never really be the leader...even if you at the 'leader' position of quarterback.

I just saw that the NBA summer league game will be on NBA TV at 4pm Sunday. The Detroit Pistons will play, so you might be able to see Tony in action.

Biggest question marks heading into this season

At what point in the season will the 'fans' walk out not to return if things get bumpy? -
Can Danny Kaspar save Bobcat men’s basketball?

If only he wasn't a North Texas grad he would be a strong candidate for our job here at North Texas. Being a North Texas grad is the kiss of death at this athletic department. -
Dumars makes hard, quiet draft decisions for Pistons

Well, at least we didn't have to read how Tony was originally a Missouri signee, etc. We gave him his chance, Missouri did not. -

Sedalia is 80 miles due east of Kansas City and is the home of the famous Missouri State Fair. It was where the Rawhide bunch was supposedly driving their cattle. However, I never saw one cow come into town the entire time I was there. -

Sedalia, Missouri Smith-Cotton High School was not listed for some reason. -
Pointless....no real coverage and too damn expensive to participate.

Good move by the athletic department...much appreciated...will try to be there with my bride.

In 1994 every game was on TV...a ploy by the mastermind Helwig to give us exposure....yeah, the exposure of getting kicked week in and week out on TV (it was our first year back from IAA pergatory). Anyway, it cost the athletic dept. big bucks and no one will ever know if it was worth it.

Elizabeth emailed me that she got another gig, but would be at the games...I wished her well and thanked her for her help.

Does long-term OOC scheduling help an AD lengthen their tenure?
drex replied to JesseMartin's topic in Mean Green Football
Ads should not stay at one school too long...they become beaten down, jaded and just tired of their situation and the politics. It is better to rotate every once in awhile to get new ideas and new blood. Certainly, I do not suggest 7 ads in 10 years, which happened at North Texas in the past.- 12 replies

Take Benford out of the Picture what do you think of this BB class?

I'd post an opinion, but I don't want it to be part of the NSA dragnet. -
I'll go 6-6, too. Chance of a bowl game.

Barefoot...an appropriate name for a shop selling North Texas items.

Well, you can't sugar coat it...it was an awful season.

Like most regimes, the game tapes from the previous coach will be destroyed to solidify the 'nothing good happened before I got here' mind set. Hope I am wrong...I know how carelessly our history has been destroyed over the years by various regimes.

Just praying that every time they talk about him on TV during an NBA game that they do not ever mention Missouri. We are the ones who gave him a chance.

I stand corrected, Crouch is a Southwestern U at Georgetown grad. I still lean toward the UNT grad.
-
Robb Coffey, UNT grad who is completely competent or Tim Crouch, the SMU grad who is an interloper...seems an easy choice.
-
OK, SMU is in because they are the 'home team'...TCU is high profile enough to be the 'patsy' in the event and we are not even considered because we have to attone for our previous sins relative to Jankovick. Carry on.

Putting cheap lipstick on a pig.
-
As has been stated many times, you get 50 miles outside of Denton and UNT can stand for anything.
