I sat with my nephew, who was a member of the marching owl band, when they visited SMU years ago. Instead of cheering, the only cheer they let out was when the score was 'binary'....they all started chanting binary. That says it all.

Thanks to the tenacity of Firefightin Rick and others, the flag was finally deemed worthy of official recognition by the university. It is appropriate that it is nicknamed the battle flag, since many battles were fought to keep it flying. The utter arrogance of Texas A&M plays into the equation, as does the wimpy North Texas administration...have Rick explain it to you some time.

While I am fascinated by Silver Eagle's ideas, the original flag I designed is now an official North Texas flag--flown by the university at the union building and the library. Now, if the athletic department would just follow suit and fly it at Apogee.

I think we are OK having copies of the games as long as we do not charge for them.

A friend of mine went to North Texas and got his degree in accounting. Then, he went to TCU and got his masters in accounting. He said the masters at TCU was merely a repeat of the work he had done at North Texas for his bachelors. Money doesn't always mean quality.

OK, guys I'll make some DVD's of the two games and will let you know when I have them...then, we can start over with the requests.

It's definitely the game vs. Cincinnati...I got the date screwed up...it's the 2002 NO Bowl. I'll dup them before I send them out. Silver Eagle and Mean Green 93-98 were the first to respond.

I have two vhs tapes I am willing to give away. One is of the 1987 varsity-alumni football game and one is the 2004 New Orleans Bowl vs. Cincinnati. All I want is postage to get it to you. Please message me and we'll work out details. As you know, they are easily transferred to DVD format.

Pardon me while I get out my crying towel. Both parties (when they are the majority) of trying to bully the other party and throw their weight around. It doesn't make it right, but it a fact of life.
