I was always keeping up with Bill and his promotions and energy level for promoting the athletic department. He did a lot of great promotions and, of course, was always a really nice person. It was his work ahead of me that gave me a basis for what I did when I took over the job of promotions, etc. His smile and good humor will be missed, as will his example of unbelievable promotion of North Texas.

My opinion is that the NFL has a dirty little secret...don't pay the money and draft North Texas players--we can get them on the cheap by forcing them to free agency.

We always bitch and moan about not getting proper recognition and respect from the general population, and yet, we are so quick to condemn our own university...don't get it.

Are you ready for this? A member of the ticket office team at NT told me that Ticketmaster would not share the data as to ticket sales through Ticketmaster to the Heart of Dallas Bowl. That could have been a huge list of new contacts for prospective season ticket holders. Sad, but apparently, true.

I am watching very closely to see if someone who gives a damn about North Texas, is a grad and eats and sleeps Mean Green can be successful. If she is given proper support from the university, the sky may be the limit.

The SMU game will be a home game for us, as there will be a lot more North Texas people fans there than SMU...we will be undefeated going into the game. We play well at home and SMU will just be a home game.

Well, the battle flag look is not licensed by the university, but it is an official flag of the university. I would be more worried by our friends at SMU, who may not take too kindly to the use of the mustang. Their mustang is definitely licensed. If officials at both schools got pissy there could be a problem.
