It is naive to regard trips to Iowa and Tennessee as winnable...both stadiums will be packed and they are way above us in the food chain of athletes. We will to to Knoxville and Iowa City, play hard and get a pat on the head for competing. I do agree that we should always be expected to compete and win against our peers in conference. The home games at Apogee are disappointing, as we were promised a beefed up home schedule when we got a new stadium

Sports reporters are notoriously lazy....no homework involved before they start writing their drivel.

Mayor Bob Castleberry did a lot for us when he was Mayor in the late 80's...let us use him in newspaper ads, gave a full scholarship each year to UNT and TWU, hosted and gave a welcoming address to the Kilgore Rangerettes and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders when they performed at halftime of a basketball game and was always at our athletic auctions. I think that Mayor Brock and her husband are good donors to athletics, as well...not much lately, I'd guess.

Yep, that's what we were promised....this is a very valid criticism. There are many areas up for debate, but our scheduling is really suspect.

There is no reason that athletics cannot make suggestions...the mission of both Barnes and Noble and athletics is to move product.
