Home of the original Mean Green should be wordmarked ASAP. We've done a fair job of trademarking indicia, but we need to do the wordmark registration to protect Mean Green. Of course, we have lots of video and newspaper proof of your starting to use Mean Green as far back as the late 60's. Big programs and big communications companies won't think twice about poaching Mean Green if it serves their interests.

OK..back to my suggestion that they introduce the 'starting crowd' for today's game. Every student organization that notifies the athletic two days prior to kickoff will be introduced over the PA system. Each organization will stand and be recognized as their organization''s name is announced. Everyone likes recognition. Just a thought. 'AND NOW, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, INTRODUCING THE STARTING CROWD FOR TODAY'S GAME. TALONS, GREEN BRIGADE, DANCERS, WEST DORM, MAPLE HALL, ETC., ETC. ....

The ultimate insult happened in 1968 when the Mean Green Eagles traveled to Las Cruces, New Mexico to play the New Mexico State Aggies. There was a huge sign hung on the stadium railing that said 'Beat the Buffaloes'...they did not even know who they were playing...had us mixed up with West Texas State. By the way, it ended in a tie.

Looks to me like Lewisville should be a targeted audience for games, too.....good population base not far away.

Hats off to the athletic department for doing the 'flag bandana' and for their cultivation of the fans from Argyle. The custom t-shirts for the Argyle fans was really clever.

NORTH will play in Boca Raton and TEXAS will play in the Bahamas. Seems logical to me.

I am confident that the nay sayers do their job to perfection at their workplace with no mistakes ever. So, of course, they can criticize a sophomore quarterback who is trying his best. Further, I am also sure that the nay sayers are all Mean Green Club members and season ticket holders.

We are in a terrible situation, in some ways. Our 'fans' want us to produce a product before they will buy in. We have no wiggle room because of our dire straits in fund raising. NT is looking for long term investors and the potential investors are looking for blue chip stock.

I have suggested an 'each one reach one' campaign. Each current member of the Mean Green Club reach out to a friend/fan of the university and have them donate. Cannot beat the personal touch.
