Marshall has far better name recognition than FAU, so I want them.....if it happens.

I know for a fact that the athletic department is working on attendance for the Army game. Hope it works out well for them, as they really seem to be trying to improve the whole department.

It was so bad that day that the North Texas band got a penalty called on them.

This athletic dept. is so much more pro active than the Villareal regime. Glad they are doing the promotion. I cannot help but feel that to ultimately fill the stadium they will need to do a lot of one on one chats with campus and community organizations, not just email bursts.

I'm particularly concerned about the color of brick used at Apogee.

Since UTSA is in the west, it was best to get that one and lose the one to the east.

So the answer was to charter an airplane and fly it to Florida half empty, but by God we did not take any wives. Unbelievable.

OK, here is my assessment, for what it's worth. First, FAU had an off week to prepare for us, we were getting cocky after the UTSA game and FAU has a pretty good team. We certainly made them look better than they are, but that is just the way it happened. Also, playing in front of 2,000 people did not help either. College kids can get complacent...hope the coaching staff snaps them out of their complacency. Practices this week should be very interesting.

Join the Alumni Association for entrance to the Alumni Pavilion. It's fun.

Most amusing is the fact that their coach is going to way over coach them for the remainder of the season, as evidenced by his post game presser, and that will assure another loss or two for them.

Beating Tulsa for the Missouri Valley Championship in 1968 in front of a sold out Fouts Field (even though they officially did not call it a sellout). I was there and I have no idea where they would have put any more people. I cannot understand why they did declare it a sell out. We beat the hell out of Tulsa...54-7 or something like that.

Exactly why I pushed so hard to get North Texas licensed by Collegiate Licensing Company in the late 80's. There is probably a licensing infringment element of this issue, too.

I am advocating the additional word mark Home of the original Mean Green, just as Coca-Cola word marks its slogans (i.e.for all you do this Coke's for you, etc.) in addition to the obvious trademarking of their logos.
