No real pressure to coach at KU...they gave up football a few years ago.

I think we have a respectable RPI now, which should allow us more flexibility in scheduling home games....plus, the AD has shown he will spend the money as an investment.

DRC: UNT's run to the CBI title, the untold story

Trilli got us green seats? I don't think so. Joe Holland and others got us green seats. -
The Top G-5 programs who have a Playoff shot

Cannot wait for that FAU thing to implode, and it will. -
We sometimes embrace futility...it is summer, after all.

What is the G5 model program we should aspire to?
drex replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
As I read the myriad of posts about UNT athletic future success/failure/perception, I cannot help but ask myself what percentage of the people who post on gomeangreen.com are donors to the MGSF. I hope it is higher than I visualize...maybe Harry can give us a 'guestimate' of actual dollar participation from the members of GMG.com. -
Good luck to her at Drury, or as the locals call it Dreary.

DRC: Mitchell to face mentor Aston in Denton
drex replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Good memory, Greenjoe. Good crowd that night. We should have a good crowd for Jalie's game with Texas. -
The flag is expensive and I'm sure that the decision was made to use a smaller one over the summer and come back with the big one in August...just a guess. Smaller flags don't get as much abuse from the wind and they are cheaper....once again, just a guess.

Anybody going to Sydney Graham’s memorial service ?
drex replied to greenjoe's topic in Mean Green Football
So, did you see anyone from the athletic staff. Going to funerals probably falls to Hank, since he is tasked with cultivating Denton. -
The best to all the athletes who made this happen, as well as the coaches and administrators.

We went for years during the Hurley era without even flying the Texas flag at Fouts. Glad to see that we are going back to our Texas roots. Congratulations to the AD for the upgrade.

What ever your views on leaving the Army series, I find it amusing that we are knocking Liberty for not being a recognizable name team. LIberty fans are probably saying the same thing..'get us an opponent with name recognition.' As to a religious element in scheduling Liberty, I think you are reading far too much into the AD's motives. It's a done deal and now we just need to hope (and pray?) that we don't get beat by Liberty.

Good...let's keep this thing rolling. Way to go, Jalie. -
Mr. Irrelevant: SMU WR Trey Quinn is draft's final pick
drex replied to brooks91's topic in Mean Green Football
He was not irrelevant in their kicking of us in last year's game. -

Column: This men’s basketball roster is finally McCasland’s
drex replied to Skipper's topic in Mean Green Basketball
McCasland is doing magical things for the men's basketball program. -
The event is great fun....we just need to 'punch it up a little.' We'll talk about it soon. I think the players and the fans really enjoyed it.

Gotta love how one element of North Texas fights the other...parking on Saturday should be a breeze, but we must withstand the elements.

Dale's daughter did go to North Texas. The first Don January Golf Tournament was a success in large part due to Dale's participation. He is quirky, but I have had generally good relations with him relative to North Texas.

Any P5 team is a pro team.

Oh, come on, you never have to ask why when it comes to pro teams.

Meanwhile, back at the original headline, congratulations to a good young man who deserves the recognition.

Five things to watch for from men’s basketball over the offseason

Should be interesting to see how the coaches poll ranks us going into next season. -
The future is bright green.
