Injuries when D1 plays D1 seems even to me as far as injuries. However, D1 vs. FCS is another story. The FCS guys do not have the depth and are often smaller. I remember vividly what Nebraska did to us when we were 1-AA..it was not pretty.

A little trivia for you younger Mean Greenies. In 1969 Joe Greene was a first round draft pick. In 1970 Cedrick Hardman was a first round draft choice and in 1970 Leonard Dunlap was a first round draft choice. We have dropped off considerably since then. Greene went to Pittsburg, Hardman went to San Francisco and Dunlap went to Baltimore.

I think that the perception of North Texas talent by the NFL is to just wait and get the guys on the cheap through free agency. Why draft them if NT has a reputation for having their players enter the NFL through free agency?

In the past one of the stumbling blocks about a four team tournamen with rotating venues has been UTA. Their old court, played on a stage, was something everyone wanted to avoid. Now, each school has a good home court facility. So, let the games begin...even though they never will.

If you did not attend many games and did not buy season tickets, then you will be a reason for his leaving. He is a great coach who deserved more support from the fan base (be it ever so small). We might have him one more year, and then he will go where basketball is appreciated.
