I think it is funny that Vito got scooped by a reporter from Tulsa. I wonder how long it will be before Vito posts something....oh wait, that is good news, so Vito might not cover it.

ESPN has Western Kentucky going to the big dance next year. Why always them who get pre-season accolades? Lazy sports writers who are still living in 1990's. We should handle them again next year, as our recruiting is superior to theirs.

Little side note on Coach Gales. If he had not led the Mean Green to the NCAA tournament in 1988, North Texas State would never have been recorded in the list of schools who made the tournament. The school changed its name to University of North Texas the next year.

Travel costs, coupled with no air travel will significantly impact the tournament as we used to know it. Perhaps this is a one time thing and all will be back to normal in a year or two....however, I doubt it will ever be the same.

I think the Joe Greene holds the key to this happening. Joe knows a lot of the brass at the NFL and he could be a huge help. Joe is easily accessable if the right people made the call. It seems to me that it would be Wren Baker's call that might carry some weight, plus as many of our former NFL players who we could find to help the cause. Sadly, the times we live in right now will probably require a delay in taking on this project.

Hawaii might not even have a season. Can you bus to Hawaii?

I got the athletic department on line sirvey today. Some of the input from we, the donors, will have some impact on their decision...I think.

Actually, North Texas gave a scholarship years after TCU did. I think they kinda rotated the scholarships around.

Phyllis' dad worked for Moore Business Forms, Inc. in Denton for some time. TCU gave a scholarship to the Miss Texas winner and the winner was required to use TCU as their alma mater for press releases, etc. It was a blatantly deceptive move by the Miss Texas Pageant and TCU. Phyllis probably spent very little time at TCU.
