I hope the announcers pointed out that the audience was watching the two best teams in the metroplex.

I like the series with UTA for a lot of reasons. The one thing I do not like about the series is the fact that the only chance we have to win is in Denton. The stage in Arlington is so disorienting that it is almost impossible to win a 'grude' game there. There have been really good NT teams fall on the stage in Arlington. I just wish the NCAA would get involved and really put the heat on UTA to play in a better venue...even if it was at the Convention Center in Arlington. I really like the UTA athletic director...he is a good guy and does the most with what he has to work with.

Bringing fans from the opponent is part of college sports. I'm glad we play someone close to home so they bring some fans of their own. It just adds to the atmosphere of college athletics.....and it added to our attendance numbers.

It's sorta a Mean Green closet located in the bowels of the Super Pit. If you happen to go there, beware of the Kommandant who patrols the place for trouble makers and malcontents. Be on your best behavior...afterall, you are only a donor.

A long term coach will never happen at NT under current conditions. The possibility of NT actually hiring one of their own alumni to head the program is a pipe dream at this point. The only long term coach we will ever see is one who is one our own alumni who wants to build a program and grow with it. Anyone who believes NT will do this needs to see me about some land I have for sale in Florida at a good price.

Hardman literally burst onto the scene when we played Tulsa in Denton ....cannot remember the year. He absolutely went ballistic against the Tulsa quarterback ( Tulsa coach Dobbs' son ) He had like 10 quarterback sacks in that game. It was this game that got the attention of the pro scouts, and the rest is history. If any of you ever saw the movie, "The Candidate" starring Robert Redford, Hardman played his bodyguard.

Missouri State opened a new basketball facility in November and beat the Arkansas Razorbacks in the inaugral game in the new arena.

You professional tailgaters could really punch up attendance if you could organize some tailgates prior to some of the home bb games. Would that be 'freeze your tail-gating?'

Win or lose to Denver, UTA will be 'crazy' when they come to Denton...do they want it more than us? We'll find out soon enough.
