Seriously, the A.D. at Newman is Vic Trilli, who used to coach here at NT...it seems it is a favor to him to let his team come in and get swamped by the Mean Green....their fan base for the game will not fill a men's rest room.

Touche...I was just pointing out that NT has won some national championships in the past. NCAA golf is a sport, by the way.

First national championship...the men's golf team in the early 50's. Other national championships....NT debate squad in the 60's, the One O'Clock Lab Band has probably won some informal national championships, the Green Brigade drum line has won national championships and the NT Cheerleaders have won three national championships. Nice showing by soccer, but just one of other intities on campus.

For the life of me I cannot understand how Burks Washington and Walter Chapman have been left out of the HOF.

Interesting that gnat on the R-C comments board chides Goldfield for giving to athletics and not education. How does he know that Goldfield does not donate to education at his alma mater or even at NT? Then, he takes a swipe at lawyers, painting them all with one huge brush. Then he jumps on Rick for donating, implying that Rick's donations are stealing money from Rick's kid's education money. Interesting logic all around. Truth be known, gnat gives money or spends money on things we do not approve of....but it is his business to do so.

What exactly is an era in a school year?

Fascinating to me that the initial Sunbelt mag has a picture of one Sunbelt team vs. a Big XII team. Why not a pic from a Sunbelt conference game on the front of the mag?
