    I like Colony Eagles plan...just one hitch. Do you have any idea how hard it is to fire a state employee? Usually they just budget them out of existence rather than go through the hassle of firing them.

    So, for $35,000 per year SMU has managed to beat an undermanned Lamar team, a shell shocked North Texas team and then goes on a losing streak. Looks like a poor investment to me.

    I watched the crowd for kickoff and it seems to me it was 'lying down room only.' Lots of empty seats in sections.

    Yes, we have oil men out there. The problem is that there is very little passion from the football program, which does not attract large donors at this point in time. Wren needs to lay out an exact plan to crawl out of this mess. I think he will do so.

    Communication between donors/fans and the athletic department have never been strong, even during the good times.
