  1. I have the press guides...we'll get to the bottom of this soon.
  2. I don't follow professional basketball that much, so will probably miss seeing this classic.
  3. Football and men's basketball were both ranked for awhile in the mid 70's.
  4. I know for a fact, through my association with former NT personnel, that the success of NT athletics impacts initial interest in the school by high schoolers. The positive publicity works well for initial inquiries by the high schoolers into what NT has to offer. It's great publicity to have winning programs--especially football in Texas. What hurts us is that when the high school kids get here they have no knowledge of most of the teams we play. It will be most beneficial for us to play schools that are more well known in this part of the country--and beat them.
  5. Junior has buddies?
  6. Coach Mac to Chico- "Mike, give me a year or two and I'll do everything I can to get you your Head Coaching job." Chico to Mac-"I'm in, I liked working with you at USF and I think we can do some great things here soon."
  7. NT clocks in at 15th this week.
  8. He is darn close, but next year should tell the tale. I don't think he is as good as the early Jamario Thomas or the legend Abner Haynes.
  9. I don't give a damn about perception and glitter. All I want is a guy who wants to be here and can win.
  10. Both, plus the basketball coaches. All sports that you are relying on for revenure generation.
  11. There is a whole new breed of cat running the athletic department than presided over the hiring of Parker....the prez and his underlings made that hire.
  12. Case in point...Greene played for both Mitchell and Rust. Mitchell was a true gentleman and a real credit to the university. This shot was taken after a game...I think this was the game where NT scored 42 points in the last home game for Mitchell. Mitchell had coached for 42 years, which is why the team ran up 42 on Chattanooga that day.
  13. In a sad sad slap in the face to ole Fouts Field, her last game will be a home game for K-State. So sad.
  14. We live in a world of 'what have you done for me today'..anyone who thinks Villareal's job is not on the line with this hire is naive.
  15. OK, we're playing no. 7 Kansas and SMU is playing UC-Riverside...enough said about the difference in quality of the two metroplex programs.
  16. Interesting that there were only five posts about our game. Oh wait,I forgot this is basketball and SMU knows little to nothing about college basketball.
  17. Ease up on the art students...I was an ad art major and have had season tickets more years than most of you. Generalization, while fun, is not always accurate.
  18. Check the enrollment numbers, Knight. You got beat by a bigger school.
  19. Did not know that conservatives had birthdays...oh, wait I did in May. Have a great day, Mark, and keep on rolling.
  20. I just love to see pro franchises at the college level struggle. UT fans should not ask why they are not winning, but are we getting our money's worth?
  21. I know that we have a nationally televised game on ESPN in Jan. or Feb. and I think I saw that local channel 21 is carrying a couple of our games. More info to follow, I'm sure.
  22. Yeah, the subs really manhandled Massaquoi.
  23. Now that Mandy is gone I'll be visiting the 'donor closet' for some of the games.
  24. I'd be very optimistic if it weren't for all our injuries.
  25. Hey, Plumm, Fry was a project coach, too. He had just been fired at SMU after some success and we, the faithful, were skeptical of his hire, too. He was just another fired head coach looking for a job...luckily, it worked out for us.
