Not sure what the analytics says there, but when you go for 2 with a quarter+ left are you assuming you will hold your opponents scoreless the rest of the way and you’ll only score one more time and need a 2-pt conversion? Seems unlikely. Way too early IMHO.

If Morris is calling the plays, why do we have and pay for an OC? If he’s the supposed QB whisper (doubtful), why do we have and pay for a QB coach?

Boring, a bunch of softball questions...not a whole lot on football honestly or digging into the Army game. Didn't really seem too upset going 0-3 for the last three games. Brett never disappoints pushing his 10 year crusade of the "premier rivalry" that is North Texas vs. UTSA. EM hit the over on sips from the water bottle.

JHC! We were already there. EM was supposed to get us over the hump immediately, not in 3 effin' years. That was the sales pitch to us. Any coach could sell you on a 3-year rebuild project, but he sold us on getting us to the "next level" from the get go, not by year 3. So, either he's a failed coach or a snake-oil salesman. I really wanted him to succeed. I was hoping his bluster was true and by his third year here he would have had so much success he would have been hired away. By the looks of it, he's just may not ready for the role and we may be facing a crash and burn scenario by year 3.

I assume @NM Green believes we will win at least one of the next three, become bowl eligible and therefore have 4 more games.

There was a play where Army had the ball near mid-field, 3rd and 5. Receiver was out wide left and our defender was lined up 10 yards off the line of scrimmage! Quick out to the receiver who picked up an easy first down. The TV coverage switched to Caponi, obviously pissed, screaming, "it was 3rd and 5!!" Apparently this was to admonish our defender for not lining up directly across from the receiver and actually defending the pass. Well, it was a little late for that coach. Teams often play like they practice. How often was this game situation reviewed during practice or in the film room? We have some talent on the field, you can see it at times. Not so sure about what's on the sidelines.

When we started 2-0, then we were 3-1, then 4-1, then 5-1? Of course four of those wins were against FBS opponents that are now collectively 11-25 and a now 6-4 FCS opponent. But, 5-1, damnit! Yeah, good times. How is everyone feeling about the UTSA game or a surging ECU? I'm thinking It's a good thing we still have Temple on the schedule.

We got homed at home with some of the officiating, but agreed, this one falls squarely on Eric Morris and some amateur-hour coaching decisions. But, hey, we were the first to get a lead on Army so far this season, so we got that going for us. What a disaster our football program is sometimes.

Just about done with the Eric Morris experiment. We will probably back into bowl eligibility due to a very weak schedule. So frustrating.

It’s the one thing we can always count on.

As far as PIs go, that was a good one to take and ensure it wasn’t going to be a TD.
