He sounds like a Craig Miller wannabe. That's just the way it is with the "chosen" schools. They get the bandwagon fans just because. For schools like North Texas or Houston we normally cannot count on the general population to round out our fan base. We are usually limited to alumni, students, staff/employees and family. The UT's, OU's, Ohio St's of the world pick up a lot of fans with zero affiliation to the school. Can't do much about it, but when those fans are one of your own, that's just wrong. Keith

I wondered the exact same thing. Once it was 1st and goal it came down to 4 downs (excluding any penaties of course). Half joking I said outloud to no one in particular, "you use your timeouts here, don't you?" Everyone around me seemed to agree. If we win out, we are 6-1 in conference and 6-5 overall. If ULM wins out (except for us), they too will be 6-1 in conference and 6-5 overall. I suppose if head-to-head is the 1st tie-breaker then we would win. Not sure what the rules are these days. I think the conference is looking for a different representative in the bowl game. I liked the one from Georgio. It was a Freudian slip, but coming back from a commercial break he meant to say, "...we were discussing...," but what he said was, "...we were disgusting...." LOL. Even George and Hank can't hide it any more. It took us years to scratch and claw our way to some semblance of respectability and that only got us to a 60ish or so ranking. In six weeks we've slid all the way to the bottom again. We didn't even come close to covering the spread today against La Tech. This team is in serious trouble. Two words (ok, maybe more than two words, but), Joey Byerly and T.J. Raymond. If you are going to recruit the player and pay for their education, you should keep tabs on how they are actually doing in class...IMHO. We will never know if Byerly was a player or not, but it's obvious we need T.J.'s presence in the middle. What could have been...... It's not like Troy is a real veteran team compared to us, but they sure looked like it. Keith

The defense would not be out there forever if it stopped the opposing offense. I'm NOT defending the offense here. There is plenty of blame to spread around. It appears that the offense cannot depend on the defense and the defense cannot depend on the offense, so I guess they both should just focus on taking care of their own business. If each did that, we might even put up a fight. Keith

Come on. The game plan (yes, singular, "the" game plan) and the 15 or so plays in it was created seven years ago. It's not something that changes with personnel or opponent. Why should it? That's a lot of work. Keith

People, people, people. Don't you get it? This is all part of the annual ritual of North Texas football. We have to lose these games in embarassing fashion in order to create and perpetuate the "us vs. them" mentality DD needs going into conference play. I was able to watch last week via streaming video through www.meangreensports.com. Actually all NT home games are going to be available this way. Not the greatest, but worth it if that's the only option. Does anyone know if KSU does something similar? Keith
