I did the same thing once and thought she was going to shot me for doing it. She was not at all happy that I did not pull over immediately even though it was a small two lane road with absolutely no sholder or anything else to pull over on. The problem is you don't really know why the officer is telling you to stop (unless you are like Quoner who obviously knew he was speeding)...maybe there is a bridge out a mile ahead or some other hazard you're about to drive into. Keith

I believe you are supposed to pull over immediately where ever you are as soon as the police officer turns his lights on or pops his siren. The police officer is the one responsible for making the public safety decision, not you. If the officer turns his lights on at the tail end of an on-ramp, he's made that choice consciously. You are suppose to stop there and pull over. Do not keep driving looking for a "safe" place to pull over. Keith

And all the kick-offs stayed in-bounds....yeah! Keith

Remember when it was all about competitive, exciting football and all we longed for was not being blown out of the game by the end of the 1st quarter? With the exception of a game and a half, we've had that this year. Saturday was a bitter pill to swallow, but it was a fun game to watch with the big momentum swings. Sure there were some mistakes, but there were a lot of great plays too. Even the refs (grown adults that get paid for what they do) made some mistakes. The human element and the chance for glory or disaster is part of what makes the game fun to watch. Go Mean Green! Keith

Brilliant!! Who needs tortillas....someone already has marshmallows, but no one has green beans. It could be ours and ours alone. Now we just have to decide, whole, cut or french style? With whole green beans, they have to be in season, but I bet you can get at least 3, 4 or more tosses out of a whole green bean before it's destroyed. You may get a seconday toss out of a cut green bean, but french style are strictly single use IMHO. Cut and french style would be available year round as frozen (only fully thawed should be utilized) or canned (to be taken out of the can prior to use), so that's a plus. The canned, while slighty messier than the frozen are probably a little safer. Decisions, decisions. Keith

IMHO, if there is one thing the NCAA has gotten right with football it's the overtime format. The drama and heart-pounding excitement is there on each and every play. Keith

I was watching on the Internet and they don't replay calls under review. For anyone that watched on TV and/or had a good view at the game, how close was the call on the Ohio TD catch in OT. From the play and one replay they showed, it looked like he landed pretty far out of bounds, but I couldn't tell where his feet were. Great effort by the team. You hate to come up short, but sometimes these can be team/character builders. Keith

Let me see if I understand this....you could go to the game but you choose not to. Is that right? Keith

I thought the thread title was some advertisement for a new movie or something . Keith -
Always tough to win on the road, however, I'm going with the whole new attitude thing and a significant drop off from last year on the Ball State side.... Mean Green - 33 Cardinals - 30 Keith

Original Twix fan here. Based on GreenBat's recommendation, I'll now have to try the Peanut Butter version. Mean Green football and a new candy bar experience....oh the anticipation! Keith -
And so it begins..... Yesterday, in an obscure corner of the Internet, an insignificant little place really, a small piece of freedom was snuffed out. Freedom to read or not to read, freedom to respond or not to response, freedom to agree or not agree, freedom to laugh or get angry (but only for a little while), freedom to express, freedom to challenge or to be challenged, freedom to share, learn and grow. Sad really, but this is how it starts....a little bit at a time. Keith

Hillary sure can get that evil stink-eye working for her. She has really got to be rethinking her decision to sell out to the Obama machine. As Secretary of State, she has been completely cut out of the inner-circle. What the heck was she doing there anyway? She didn't go to the big pow-wow in Russia....said she couldn't make it because she hurt her wrist. Huh? And then Bill hops over to North Korea and comes home with two chicks. That Bill, still working his magic with the ladies. Keith

Unfortunately, I can't say I'm surprised by this. Typical. Keith

Great fun to watch. Thanks to Daniel and his family for allowing us watch his move-in day and kudos to the Athletic Department for putting this together. Keith -
A quick "sugar rush" is usually going to be followed by a crash or an industry that ultimately becomes dependent to the steady flow of sugar just to survive. A program that destroys functional assets is highly questionable IMHO. If they could not afford the automobile before, then they probably cannot afford it now. A few months of missed payments and that shiny new car is going to be repossessed. Their previously paid for car has been sent to the crusher. No car, ruined credit....are they really better off? This is very interesting....Thanks for responding Cody. A follow-up question for you or anyone else who wants to jump in. Would you say one's feelings about economic systems influences their political feelings or vice versa? In other words, is one dominant to the extent that it drives the other or are they too intertwinded to think of them separately? I guess where I was going with this is that there is a lot of banter back and forth in this forum that seems overtly political in nature (democratic vs republican, liberal vs conservative, etc.). I'm wondering if, deep down, these debates are really about different economic philosophies and they are just masquerading as political. Keith
