  1. I feel the MEAN will be back in the UNT lineup this fall. Dodge brought in DeLoach, he has six returning starters, several redshirts Russso, Desoto, Nwigwe, Warren, Garden, and transfer players Horton, Hill, Adams, and a slew of mean freshman. With a good showing this year this could easily double.
  2. Smith was a three year starter, who broke all kinds of records for them and the conference, who graduated last year.
  3. I hope we do a number on tulsa. This may be the year to do it as tulsa has lost several seniors. Tulas won 9 games last year. They beat La Mon 35-17, Byu 55-47 Uab 38-30 Marshell 38-31 smu 29-23 tulane 49-25 houston 56-7 army 49-39 rice 48-43 They lost their 3 year starting qb along with a couple lb's ot's and De's. They put up big numbers because of their qB. I am thinking tulsa will be sweeter.
  4. Thanks for the link. I did notice they play 6 sometimes 7 or even 8 home games.
  5. Thanks. It is just a childhood colloquialism.
  6. I know you don't want to play Nicholls st, but they look like they enjoy traveling. They only have five home games scheduled for 2008.
  7. I am on board with that. This will give us two additional home games, we need at least four more.
  8. overall I feel SFA was much better run than UNT and I have less concern for the performance of Athletics at SFA because I feel there are other things SFA can put money to to build their reputation
  9. So, SFA rules or what?
  10. [quote name='CheckFacts' date='May 24 2008, 11:20 PM' post='35087 So you do see some plans.
  11. That is it; teams played at home.
  12. Then why do all of the athletes {football} live in the dorm. Wasn't part of the plan to build the tennis courts.
  13. Wasn't part of the plan to build the Athletic Dorms.
  14. Didn't RV try to go in on a football stadium with the local high school and that fell through? So the high schools play out there and their parents money go out there. So locally a lot of that money is spent on Friday Night instead of Saturday afternoon.
  15. Wasn't part of the plan to acquire the land where Liberty Christian was located?
  16. Thanks for the link. It is interesting to compare this years against last years. Since we are playing K St this year, I looked at Ron's numbers and he is beginning to slide.
  17. Does Fouts really keep people away or does or schedule have a major role in not keeping people in the stands. We play zero homes games in Aug. ok thats fair, its hot. Sept we play one game. Oct we play one on the 4th and one on the 25th. Nov we play one on the 29th. Not much continuity in building attendance. LSU plays home games on Aug 30th App St, Sept 6th Troy, Sept 13 NT, Sept 27 Miss St, Oct 25th Georgia, Nov 1st Tulane, Nov 8th Ala, Nov 22 Ole Miss, Tulsa Plays home games Sep 20 Mew Mexico, Sept 27 Central Ark, Oct 4th Rice, Oct 18th Utep, Oct 26 UCF, Nov 22 Tulane. Kansas st plays home games Aug 30th NT, Sept 6th Montana St, Sept 27 Louisiana La, Oct4th Tex Tech, Oct 25 Oklahoma, Nov 15 Neb, Nov 22 Iowa St. Thats 8 home games, 6 home games and 7 home games. We really need to be playing more home games and not just 6 home games.
  18. Thanks for the info, it is interesting to see how a campaign develops. It looks like they are very serious. I hope to see something like this being sent out to us from NT. I like the name they came up with, I hope ours looks as good or better.
  19. When you are talking about beer and football, all beer coolers are real. But, yes it is a foam cooler.
  20. Beer Piggly Wiggly has Smithwick's; commonly called Smitics. From the brewers of Guinness and yes it is ten dollars a six pack.
  21. West University.
  22. Yes, Albertson's has North Texas beer coolers on sale. I couldn't believe it.
