The HSSN backstory is pretty amazing. I googled colleges and uplink and found several universities with these capabilities. I just assumed we had this. We used to be billed as the most wired college. Thanks for the info.

Dale asked JJ about recruiting Texas players and playing national powerhouse teams. JJ told him that he felt if we can keep the players in the state, we can play with anyteam. JJ mentioned most of the players on Ut's team were from Texas and look where they are ranked. They talked alittle about last year and going to the dance. The big thing was we were on TV.

I am picking UNT as the most improved team in the Sunbelt. I also agree those four games could of gone our way and will this year.

I like the schedule except for the LSU game. We could look at the big ten and other conferences for some games. He really needs to write his story and rewrite it the next day.

I think 2008 is going to be OK, 2009 is going to be better, and 2010 is going to be GO MEAN GREEN all the way.

In the Marine Corps we called those BAM's.

Posters should reread the MUST READ:Forum Rules once and awhile. The forum states what this board is here for and what is not allowed. Reading postings about what is allowed is a great reading experience. A few posters go to great length to provide insight into local high school talent. Some provide out-of-region stats on players and teams. Others provide outstanding "what if" scenarios. I have tried to get 15 people who have graduated from here to read and log on as a member. Each and every one of them asked me what the hell for. Every time they begin to read an interesting post, they stated the post becomes watered down with poster slang and sick humor. They stated that the board isn't for UNT fans, it is for the 5 to 10 ticket wanabes. They can get the same information elsewhere with out the hassel of reading everybodys griping. With 30,000 plus students and many times that in grads, this should not only be the place to pick up decent information, it should also be the place to build a fan base for all sports. That is definitely not happening here. Look at the polls and count the 54 votes. There should be thousands of votes. So, keep allowing posters to run this sports venue into the ground, and keep potential alum from participating and see what you have in a year or two. If I am noticing this, then this is just the tip if the iceberg. Go Mean Grean

They used to hand those out with your other information. Dickey said they did not have the machine to make them anymore, but they were sharp looking cards. I wish they would start making them again.

I just checked to see if UT's were closed and they only have the first two open, all of the other practices are closed.

More involved to me would be those who support the administration. There are several great posters who present actual sports information. They give readers insight into such things as how the basketball season may play out, what positions on the football team have been filled, types of stadium projects in progress. There are also several posters who do not support the administration. They present their soft porn jokes, harshly criticize UNT employees, and whine about things not going their way. I, for one, really like seeing the various polls. It shows just how many people read the message board and care to vote.

Have you noticed, only 123 people have voted in the poll? And what is worse is it is just about evenly split.
