  1. I like the way they are playing a team like Mn. I agree they should be able to beat them.
  2. I just tried reading their ticket sales and and season tickets are 385 plus 750 per seat. Northend zone club are 560 and they are sold out. So, four of those seats would be over 5000.
  3. I am thinking o line or d line.
  4. I agree it is evolving. The swimming pool use to be over by the union, compare that to the rec center of today. I used to lift weights in the old womens gym. I think we have come along way, we still need to improve and we will.
  5. I just looked at future schedules and I didn't see UNT listed anywhere. Baylor is actively seeking ooc games 2010-2015. TCU also has openings. Right now it is a given SMU has openings but are we working on making this happen, who knows.
  6. man, what a great idea. I really hope this works out for us.
  7. Gas prices have been the a hot topic in Fla this past month. They are wondering if people are going to pay for diesel (around 4.50 a gal now) or sit at home and watch the game. When gas hits five a gal, and it will, how many are going to drive a couple of hundred miles, both ways, to watch a game? Right now probably quite a few will say they will. However, how many are going to do this when it hits six a gal? I hope the gas prices will bring people to the table and set up some closer rivals.
  8. Recently, I have seen several NORTH TEXAS AND MEAN GREEN CLUB window stickers, while driving on I35. I didn't use to see any and now it seems they are everywhere. We need to increase this kind of of sighting to change those young minds about UNT.
  9. If not the 1a, how about Indiana, Minnesota, Vanderbilt and so on... this would get good exposure and a win.
  10. I am with you, I paid for tickets in March.
  11. Agree-we need more games that are closer to home and more home games.
  12. The improved offense should help rest the D.
  13. We need to go into conference with a record that says we can win. The so called money games aren't building confidence in the offense or defense, and they aren't big traveling games. When the offense goes 3 and out and the defense is on the field forever, is that fun football to watch? It is when it is the other team going 3 and out.
  14. yes.
  15. I agree. Also, having the two "similar" games could almost be thought of as home games. Games like tcu and smu seem to generate a lot of interest and folks showing up.
  16. Yes I agree, but nov 24th should have been an away game. We should open with a 1-aa, build attendance and our record.
  17. I feel the MEAN will be back in the UNT lineup this fall. Dodge brought in DeLoach, he has six returning starters, several redshirts Russso, Desoto, Nwigwe, Warren, Garden, and transfer players Horton, Hill, Adams, and a slew of mean freshman. With a good showing this year this could easily double.
  18. Smith was a three year starter, who broke all kinds of records for them and the conference, who graduated last year.
  19. I hope we do a number on tulsa. This may be the year to do it as tulsa has lost several seniors. Tulas won 9 games last year. They beat La Mon 35-17, Byu 55-47 Uab 38-30 Marshell 38-31 smu 29-23 tulane 49-25 houston 56-7 army 49-39 rice 48-43 They lost their 3 year starting qb along with a couple lb's ot's and De's. They put up big numbers because of their qB. I am thinking tulsa will be sweeter.
  20. Thanks for the link. I did notice they play 6 sometimes 7 or even 8 home games.
  21. Thanks. It is just a childhood colloquialism.
  22. I know you don't want to play Nicholls st, but they look like they enjoy traveling. They only have five home games scheduled for 2008.
  23. I am on board with that. This will give us two additional home games, we need at least four more.
