  1. Amen brother!!
  2. In a word, NO!
  3. I'm a man of medicine, no wait, ShopMeanGreen is a real man of medicine, and he is a pediatrician. He may know what a bowl birth would look like!! He could help you out!
  4. I went last week and unless I feel asleep because of all the excitement, they didn't allow any questions anyway! They asked a couple trivia questions.
  5. My apologies...you are absolutely right. Where in the world did I let my mind wander to???
  6. How about....... BE COMPETETIVE IN ONE OF THE NEXT 3 GAMES...POSSIBLY EVEN WINNING ONE!
  7. Let's not jump to any conclusions here. HKS seems to be the leader in doing what they do. Let's see what they come up with first before we make any rash decisions. my bet is whatever they come up with, we'll LOVE !
  8. Construction projects of this magnitude could include re-routing a watershed or below ground water supply almost anywhere. I thought someone posted the lake would probably go away. I was disappointed to hear that. It seems a like a great idea for the coplex.
  9. I think this goes both ways. Are you saying then, we shouldn't cheer the team on with cheers and chants that support them because it won't have an effect on them? It kind of sounds like there is no real way a home field advantage would be a possibility. Being a former cheerleader, I think they hear the good and the bad comments and react accordingly, especially if it is coming from the home crowd. I believe you can affect the way they are playing more than you may think. Just a thought...
  10. Lifer, your points and opinions are very well expressed and I totally agree with you. We have two choices; to support or not support the team and the young gentlemen that represent our school. If we support them, then we should support them. The quality of our support is a reflection of our ability and dedication to the university. We can support them up to the next level or not support them down to the next level. Go Mean Green!
  11. I went because I thought the positive stadium vote would energize everybody a little bit. I think it did but the "footbal team" crowd seemed a little thin. RV did open up with the stadium talk and Coach came in about that time with about 10 players. Good to see them. They seemed in pretty good spirits. Coach did a pretty good job analyzing the game and what went wrong, as well as what went right. he does understand his X's and O's but knows were are not there yet. He asked some of the players to take the mic and I didn't here much interesting except a little about the "Peach Bowl" which I knew nothing about. Riley talked about his time as a child in Denton. I got a chance to buy a raffle ticket for something?? Anyway...
  12. I'll bring a printed copy to the Alumni GameDayGrille if anyone wants to see it.
  13. Oh, that's why the site doesn't tell anybody what time the thing starts...it's be that way all year. OK! Got it!!
  14. Athletics page tells all about the event but I checked before leaving the house to see what time it started....wasn't there! It is 6:00 pm right???
  15. Or a 501.c(3)
  16. Come on dude, go with me on this one
  17. Yea, I agree. It could have been a pretty neat article all around but IMHO they blew it. It was not interesting nor funny to me. At least not at work, on a Monday morning
  18. For many reasons!!!!!!
  19. I tailgate with the Alumni Association on the outside concourse of the Pit!
  20. Oh so true.......! That's how she will use the Office of Advancement and more...
  21. I think you will see the Alumni Association become involved in a "Victory" or "Corridors of Years" walk with bricks doing just this. The planning is embryonic but the potential is exciting!
  22. The vote was up to the students. That was their task. Dr. B. supports it 100%, trust me. Her job now begins. She will turn the vote in to construction, that's her task. Let's let her do her magic. You will come to appreciate her tenacity and accountibility and most of all understanding of what this university needs for future growth and success. I'm not making these statements blindly.
