I have to believe that Coach Dodge is taking these two weeks to work as hard as he has ever worked in a long time to prepare the team!! We could see it all come together. Some youngsters are going to get a chance to step up and WE COULD JUST SEE A WIN in front of a record setting crowd at FOUTS! Just imagine THAT!! GMG!

Greenminer, I have to agree! A lot of this IS what it IS because the BOARD is making IT just that. STOP!

Riley and Tre are likely not even phased by this adult/child stupidity. Do the homework, sort out the truth, fix the problem and move on with as little fan fare as this board and the media will allow.

I set in the letteman's section where I have had season tickets for about 7-8 years. The folks around me make noise but I would agree we need more. The lettermen seem to be a tough crowd. Its a little harder to show them shabby football and get away with it. Hair Roman just about brought the crowd on the field. It's really hard to watch. that and not yell.....something!!!

I really hope we see JT get the ball more often. I agree,the man has to touch the ball. I think Jamario is Super Jamario again and I hope TD can coach some holes open for SJT to run through. I like seeing him as a relief receiver. It at least gives him a little open field to work with.

I watched the fireworks with a lot of true fans! I have NEVER left a game early. I won't ever unless it's on a strectcher with a white sheet over my head! GMG!

Great post! I too get discourage when I don't get overight success. I have not been on the board long, but believe me, I've been a UNT fan since the Fry era and it has been a rocky road with lots of ups and downs. We are definitely in an "up" right now with what looks like the best potential for a true level change for UNT football. I really enjoy all the posts on this board because good or bad, I really see the enthusiasm and desire for UNT to be showcased by an excellent athletic program. We old guys on the board can really learn a lot from the youngsters. But the youngsters need to realize this is not our first rodeo and we can tell when something special has come along. TD and his troops are that "something special" we have needed for a long time. Keep the spirit!

Thanks Boomer23, I envy you guys more than you could ever know. I was extremely involved with the bonfire as a Talon so for you to mention those details brings back fond memories! I wouldn't think about missing the fire tonight. One of the core groups fostering spirit at UNT deserves our support!! BE THERE! WEAR GREEN! YELL LOUD! S U P P O R T UNT and the TALONS!

Oh geez! I didn't need that. Man I'm trying to work around here!! I'm disappointed in some of you guys. Its not what the cheerleaders look like! It's how they stimulate the crowd to maximize the homefield advantage. It helps the coachs get the most out of the players so the X's an O's mean more. It helps us win for the....blah, blah, blah....sorry, just my stab at trying to prevent admin from taking this thread down!

I was a cheerleader in 1978 at UNT (NTSU) and I have to say, some things were just a little different when I cheered! Those were some funnnnnn days!!!

Seems like in years past we got more mail about homecoming. I'd love to see flags, signs, party banners and lots more green. It's a little late for this but I agree we need more. Duh...this all goes without saying but I just had to!!!

How can you not miss Bugger Kennedy??? Ahhh...those were the days. Can TDaddy get us un of those next year?????

It is a nice cap, and I do people will link it back to UNT but I don't see Exes on it. The CLC licensed art includes the Exes under the NT Star. The word "Exes" may be on the back of the hat on the strap, I can't tell. I think I recall Paul saying he approved this by mistake and will not approve any more that are off the CLC licensing models. If this hat sells more than the others maybe we need to rethink what we have licensed.

Wow, I'm fairly new to this board and wow, I'm glad you are newly gone from this board. I am feeling great about things at UNT, everthing! We have a great president, a great athletic director, an great football coach, a great new executive director of the Exes, and a great school. Sure.....it's not easy and we have a few bumps in the road. If I had more money, more would go back to UNT. It is a real shame that you have such mis-guided passion. It COULD be helpful and constructive. It's obvious that you need to go away, do some sole searching, fix what's really wrong in your life and come back. Once Mean Green, always Mean Green. I've always been one for second chances. FFR, keep up the good work and don't lose the passion. Kids count on all of us!

I have several shirts from ShopMeanGreen and won't wear anything else! But I do like the idea that no matter where you get it, what color it is, how much you paid for it, as long as it is a UNT spirit shirt.....WEAR IT PROUDLY!!

I'm wrong, I'm wrong, I'm wrong!!! MeanJoe is right....the "girls" are going to the UNT game this weekend. The KLUV contest must have taken a big turn after I heard it yesterdays because they were headed to SMUt. I just heard on KLUV this morning they are headed to UNT. Great publicity!! They are going to make a big splash about the tailgating and gme fun on Monday morning too!! Sure will be good if the D shows up and we win this one!! My apologies MeenJoe!!

OK, OK...but they are still going to the SMUt homecoming game.... I called in and told them they ought to go to the Navy / UNT game.
