  1. I'm sure he does too. Who will volunteer to send this to the NAACP?? Dr. B., don't you give them any money! We need it for the stadium
  2. From the DRC's recent showing, I'm not really sure I care what they do or say, even where they say it. I don't read the paper and I bet so few do that whatever they say won't matter much to any of us anyway. Let them live in their own uncirculated world making futile attempts at being a valued news vehicle. The very best news and communcation network in recent years has proven to be the talk radio channels and blogs like these. Unfortunately, what's a newspaper for any more??? We have our own communication here which has grown 10 fold recently and George Dunham who is not afraid of the truth. So,... Belo-out baby!! You'll have to work to earn my support again!!!
  3. Dr B. thanks for the diligent review and rapid response to emphasize what we new would be the obvious outcome. We have watched and listened to Coach Dodge over the past months and we new it. However, you were obligated to do this the right way and we appreciate that! You and coach Dodge have been the best and will remain the best decision a regent could have made! We will follow your lead!! Now, amen brothers...Let's get ready for some football!! PS, can we please have a new stadium for Christmas??
  4. Agreed!!! I think mr. cox must have been one of the callers on George Duhnam's broadcast caught on the Ticket!!
  5. Donald J. Norman-Cox needs to do a little research about this issue before making a fool out of himself for missing the point. Early in the reporting, the "hood" comment was dismissed as the actual issue. So, on both of his material accounts Mr. Norman-Cox missed.
  6. Because he is genuinely interested in the truth coming out. The last thing you want is the only investigation to be conducted by a single biased party. RV is heading up his own internal investigation, not the one for the NAACP. It will limit the grandstanding and further show that UNT takes these things seriously. It's not a good place to be but RV is doing the right thing. It wasn't that long ago tha Hayden Fry came to UNT because SMU did not want a black quarterback. UNT was not a racist school, then, now or anytime before or during.
  7. Agreed!! If we can't build a program with the foundation of the high character, ethics and values that Todd Dodge brings I DONT WANT A FOOTBALL PROGRAM!!! I support Todd Dodge 100%!! Steve Brodbeck Class of 1980 BS Medical Technology Current President-Elect NT Exes Alumni Association Letterman's Club Carrollton, TX
  8. Awesome spot!! Goerge for president. George seems to back his story up with personal fact and the callers at the end are just jumping to be jumping. Good job George!! I couldn't be prouder of a man and his values. Folks, that man is a true media phenomenon!! Good job George!! Thanks for the clip and thanks George for you support!
  9. The best idea yet!!! Can anyone confirm that there will be a coach's show at Sweetwater next Monday?? Coach Dodge, you have my support!!
  10. You make perfect sense! Just look around the NFL or NBA and you cn find some talented but good examples of athletes that were not reprimanded for some of their college behavior. They just get worse....
  11. I thought the SLC receivers did a great job with some of the marginal passes they had thrown to them. Dodge did a good job scrambling. The pocket seemed to be there most of the time but the receivers were covered and you only get so long in the pocket before it breaks down. What 4-5 seconds and something better happen with the ball. OK game I suppose. I like those SLC receivers!! Is Newton really going to be what he wants to be at UT?? I think he has a better chance at UNT, even if TD passes 60%+. Daddy Nte sees his "baby" at UT in line for the Heisman though??? That's a good father!
  12. I checked Fox 4 on-line and they have not seemed to post the story yet. I hope they don't but even if they don't, the wheels are in motion for a very disturbing couple of weeks/months. Here I am...going on when I said let's STOP talking about this. Sorry guys/gals, It's news as bad as I hate it.
  13. Nope....I was watching football!! SLC vs Grapevine (or was it SMU and UNT ) Any way, maybe I"ll watch channel 4 if there is acommercial at 10 in the SLC game. Maybe NOT!! . I prefer channel 5 since our own alum Brendan Higgins is on 5. GMG!
  14. If it is...we're going to win!! NT Commitments playing: #11 Riley Dodge #35 Derek Tomlin #61 Nick Leppo I thought I heard more players than this were commited to UNT?? Was that wishful thinking/dreaming??
  15. OK, you got me! But I am going to find it on some obscure sport venue station and bring it back . Love to hear Bill Mercer's name come up. What a great guy for UNT sports...back in the day. We played at UTEP in 1978'ish and Bill took us over in to Mexico for what he called, "real Mexican food" (that's wasn't a racial slur was it?? Heaven forbid!!!) Anyway, he was all right but the several in the group got S...I...C...K!! He was a lot of fun to be around. Thanks for settin' me straight on the difference between sports and entertaining. That alone is a thought to ponder. Who made up that rule?? Wrestling is always entertaining and sports aren't
  16. As best I remember, I forget the guys name but that was a private go-cart that was loaned to us by an alum. It was a lot of fun to drive around. Nobody really managed it or took care of it. It seems the alum just brought it whenever he came to the events/games.
  17. Sir, you are wise beyond your years on this one. No matter how old you are. The media is like a tool (knife) to be used correctly. use it incorrectly and it will cut you!
  18. This is BIG! Orsini just got in trouble with his marketing or branding department!! I guess Pony Up is now Pony Out
  19. I agree Rick, Boomer is 10X better, plus it's our tradition. Now, a cool item like this "thing" would be nice for marketing. The thing is, it has to fit in the marketing plan. When they drove this thing to San Diego the newpaper articles were written but the interviews were preceded by a marketing campaign that called the towns ahead of time and let them know they would be there. I'd love to have a good marketing plan that would support something like this. I think your point is, we have what we need. I think the Model A needs a shot in the arm. It could be worth marketing around.
  20. And....they may just scrap the whole football thing! Pony out!
  21. Of course it is a sport. You can't catch it on the cooking channel . I wrestled with Kevin in the late 70s. He worked out with us (NTSU Wresting club sport with Coach Bob Maughn) to learn basic wrestling and begin to develop his wrestling based on real wrestling moves. Kevin didn't just jump in to wrestling without dissecting the sport and learning the basics. In a sense he was a technical wrestler that really understood (and understands) wrestling. Kevin was a great guy then and is still a great guy. It's not a handshake I get when I see Kevin today, it's a man-hug. He understand life better than we can. A nice guy indeed!
  22. And wear lots of your brightest green!! That's an order!!
  23. I hate to say it again but Hair Roman was the best thing the punter from the MUTs had going last Saturday night!!
  24. May be a dead horse but it is a valid point. I'd reather talk this dead horse than what's been on the board the last 24 hrs!!
  25. This is a job for.....MediPilot!!
