I've never heard a survey mentioned before. Let's give them the chance they deserve and see how it goes. Let's not shoot then aim.

SilverEagle, all great points and appreciated as conversation. Only two additional observations though. 1) No, I never, ever said UNT does not graduate professionals. I'm not even sure how you got that out of my post. I will say, I have the most knowledge of anyone as to who applied for the ED job of the Exes. 2) And yes, the approval of the cap by Paul was a mistake, in his words, not mine. The mistake was inadvertent as I stressed earlier. I agree the alumni organization and it's logos MUST and WILL be promoted as well as any other branding that UNT has. I think Dodge may be a "closed door type of guy" when he needs to be. My experience with his has been absolutely opposite. He has always been nothing but totally business professional and open to conversation any time I've approached him. He was more than open at the last Exes mixer in Lewisville and even suggested we invite him to more events like that so he could support the group and the university. He was not afraid of anybody in the small group there and gave a great impromptu speech. He answered questions and stayed around a long time after wards to visit with anyone still there. This was just after he hosted the juniors day at UNT that morning. Dodge is a class act.

They appear to know the exact formula to get around any potential violations but this sure sounds like a hornets nest. If you have to spell out all the details of how you do it to make you feel good, you are probably trying to convince even yourself there is a bit of exposure. We can do a lot to gain dollars for our program but I hope we don't ever go this far.

I guess the one thing we all agree on is the wish to go back and change the real problem, which is the way we feel about a 2-10 season. Since that is crazy, we can just hope and wish for a 10-2 season soon! It would be nice if Burkhead came to help us. Sorry for my unintentional highjack!! It's all good! GMG!

SilverEagle, with all due respect, and I do not mean this as harsh in any way but, really? Sometimes it's hard to read between the lines in these posts, so I apologize ahead of time if I misunderstand. I would think a director that is hired as a professional (which we have never had until now) to promote an organization would be be welcomed as our director. RV is not a graduate, he was a professional hired to better the athletic program. Dr. B. is not a graduate. We put our support behind both of these people to do the best for the University. I hope you re-think your stance because from what I see on this board you have a lot to offer and support would be greatly appreciated. This is not techincally the logo that is licensed by CLC for the NT Exes. It lacks the word Exes. Although, wait just a few months and the cap may catch up with reality. Paul admitted to overlooking the proper details (as well as CLC before they sent it to him) when he inadvertently approved it.

What happened to the saying, "if it's not new it's not news"?? How NEW is our 2-10 record?? I'm not sure I appreciate our protection of Vito's intentions!!!!! He is not reporting news. We are allowing him to editorialize at our expense. He wants news from the program so he can editorialize?? Either he reports news or he editorilizes, which is it??
