Unfortunately, since it is managed through an exclusive contract by the same non-University commercial house as the bookstore you may be lucky to get the same old stuff. They do not (can't) produce their own product so they will just be trying to buy wholesale anything they can pick up. The'll mark it up and play the middle man, which is fine. We'll just pay for it if the quality is there. Let's just hope the wholesale providers out there increase their production of UNT green, whatever that happens to be.

I'd love one of these tents for use outside of football tallgaiting. For the money, the best bet is to join the Alumni Association and tailgate for football games at the new Alumni pavillion.

I've always thought a LOT of chemistry went a long way tin making a good team GREAT. Especially since I was a chemistry major at UNT in the 80's...OK maybe the late 70s !!

I hope those little plackards are a serious pain!!!! -
Great idea! You can wear it by choice. I met a GMG.com poster the other day when I went on the AC deck to take a quick look at the new MeanGreen Stadium. Totally enjoyed getting to know him. Had a lot in common! Tea party!! MeanGreenVictoryGang party unites!!!

Warren.....seriously???? Footbal coaches are teachers (gainfully employeed) and football players can turn in to teachers too. Athletes turn in to physical therapists, exercise physiologists and tons of other valuable American citizens that contribute. Even if they are entertainers as professionals there are jobs created for hot dog salesmen! The entire industry is part of the bigger machine of capitalism. I've always diagreed with Nader!!!

In the words of a comedian Bill Engvall.......Here's your sign :>) Seriously a good post and no offense intended, just caught me funny!

So THAT is how you market a football program? My bet is it will get the attention of many young recruits at about the right time of the year. And we helped by posting htis here......oh well!

And we are happy to pay it....Just sayin'

Brett...heeelllooo.....Can you address this issue with the DaMN? Gotta be a little embarassing for you too huh? Do they treat you like they treat us?? Dodge got a little coverage yesterday (only to be smudged in a comment about SMUt basketball doing so poorly or challenged..or something..don't really care). My guess is they are afraid we may sell a few more season tickets from the Dallas area or something..who knows why other than the obvious why UNT isn't covered.

Done! Thanks!!

I completely agree! The wings seemed to look "new age" and sort of different than the architectural style of the rest of the stadium. Don't get me wrong, I like the wings and love the stadium just maybe not together. However, now I am warming up to the wings concept completely!! Now we all know why I'm not an architect!!!

KRAM1, the Alumni Association is based on scholarship contributions. Can the Alumni Association get involved in supporting the Cheerleaders and Dancers in some way? We discussed (pitched to the AD) the opportunity (in the past) to set up an alumni scholarship for athletes that wanted to remain at the univiersity and finish their degree plan after their primary athletic scholarship expired. The AD didn't bite, but maybe we can do something for the cheerleaders and dancers.

Emphasis on FUN!

I bet you are correct, the TD Terrace may be a place for the pre-game, half time and postgame social instead of a tent out back (don't get me wrong, its great!). In Fouts there is a season ticket location specifically for the Lettermen. I was wondering if there would be a section in the new Mean Green Stadium seating chart. No matter....it's all good!
-
I don't see the same caption. But I'm old and blind!
-
Very cool!! Anybody know if there is/will be a Letterman's Association section?
-
Things may have changed but when I was a cheerleader in 1978, we recieved a lot of the same support from the AD as the athletes did, expcept scholarships! We got shoes, bags, uniforms, and letter jackets if we completed the competition and participation requirement. We even traveled with the team on some occasions. However, we didn't really have a coach. We had a sponsor and a head cheerleading team. I would hate to go through a season opener in a new stadium and a struggling cheer situation.

Wow, some of those schools give away helment stickers... and.... new cars???.... I agree with many here, helment stickers should be an NCAA violation. Aren't free cars?

Great pics, outstanding opportunity to make a little girl and her friends dreams come true! My hats off to everyone around these little girls for being there for them. They are precious and appear to be headed in the right direction!
