  1. I stand by my middle of the pack statement. This was a stinking turd of a game and hopefully it whips our players and coaches back into shape. Horrible execution tonight on scoring opportunities that were there for the taking.
  2. I should have known better than to let myself get too excited about this season. We're still mediocre and middle of the pack in the Belt....so disappointing.
  3. What the hell happened to us? Are we really well coached? If so, what's with all of the confusion tonight...not to mention the fact that we look unprepared and lacking intensity?
  4. Someone needs to remind DT to set his feet when he throws. Ugly game tonight, looks like we may need a defensive TD or some huge play. Unbelievable.
  5. Not special teams related, but you have all the time in the world to call a play and you call a draw to Brown? This is nut-cutting time, get the ball to our playmakers.
  6. They really should have just let Olen kick that chip shot, it might have helped swing his confidence back the other way. Special teams have been awful AGAIN.
  7. He really hasn't been good at home. I was worried that him missing the TE wide open on that trick play was going to come back to bite us.
  8. I simply do not con-Kerr.
  9. Well, one guy said we were definitely better than Miami...never thought I'd read that on an opponent's message board.
  10. Even in the 2001-2004 run, I don't remember feeling so good about our performances on the road against ranked opponents. I remember hanging close with Texas when Booger sacked Chris Simms like 6 times. I remember Cobbs scoring the game winning TD against Arizona only to have the official rob us. I think we had one respectable outing against OU and playing teams like Colorado and Air Force tough. I remember Andy Blount scoring a long TD in the 1st quarter against Arkansas before they went on to blow us out. A bowl win over Cincy and blowout of Baylor came from those years. Hopefully something similar is on the not so distant horizon.
  11. Special teams were downright awful tonight.
  12. Intensity and physicality all went out the window in the 4th quarter...probably a result of just being physically outmatched.
  13. Calls have not gone our way, but they've had receivers open on the outside all night long. Gotta fix that.
  14. Really going to need a big play on D.
  15. Wow, Trice is a freak. Great video.
  16. Putting the word domination in quotes doesn't erase the fact that it happened. Spin it with stats however you like, but a blowout of a regional Big XII opponent will always be a good memory for me...especially with the way their fans acted that day. Good job ignoring my mention of the Cincy win too, those guys were C-USA co-champs that year and lost by a field goal to Ohio State.
  17. I'll still talk about the bowl win over Cincy and the domination of Baylor the following year when I'm an old man. Those games turned me into a die hard.
  18. I don't know, that side of the field looks okay for this game:
  19. There was a relatively large section of empty seats visible on the ESPN3 feed throughout the entire game. It was a good crowd, but how on earth was it 32k? What does that stadium hold?
  20. Not sure I understand how that is a troll move. Besides, with some of the stuff the Pit Crew has yelled over the years, we could use more of that from our student section at football games in my opinion.
  21. I definitely got some looks from FAU's players when I kept yelling "Go Panthers!" at them.
  22. I absolutely can't wait to get out there tomorrow morning. The probable impending loss will have no effect on my day.
  23. I never said he wasn't a smart QB overall. I just see irony in a player with an injury history diving head first into a pair of OSU defenders at a point in the video that encourages the team to "play smart." Odd placement is all.
  24. I do hope a lot of the students make their way over to the Hill at some point, we really could have a special atmosphere over there once it gets going.
  25. Nothing like watching highlights of your own great plays to get yourself motivated, but whatever works. I do like how right after it says "Play smart," it shows Case Keenum diving head first after a long scramble. "Play tough" or "Play fearless" maybe, but that probably wasn't the smartest play given his injury history.
