Great steal...TIE GAME! UNO at the line, tied at 76.
-
Shawnson has a tough time at the free throw line... missed them both...Hopkins rebounds and goes to the line...thank goodness. Come on Hop...first one good. Down by 2, come on D!
-
2 minutes to go, down by 4. Let's stop losing our heads every time we touch the ball.
-
How bout we try to get some scores and stop playing from behind all the time??? How bout we close out on a three point shooter already? Jeez...frustrating. Travel on Shawnson.
-
That's right, now let's do this...season extended.
-
MIKE JONES!!!! Thank you! NOW LET'S GO!!! MEAN GREEN!!!!
-
10 seconds left, down by 3. Ohhhh what could have been without stupid turnovers and giving up offensive rebounds. Come on...how bout Hopkins off a curl screen for the tie? Please? NORTH!!!
-
Turnover...ouch, couldn't even get a shot off. Not over yet though. Offensive rebound....damn, that could have killed us. <_<
-
Down by 3, under 2 minutes....let's go! Hop scores, down by 1...do you believe?
-
4 minutes to go, down by 5. Degrate comes in with his 13 points and 11 rebounds. Now's the time to make it happen. TEXAS!!!
-
Huge block by Shawnson...even BIGGER three by Hop! Got a stop, got a layup. Mean Green down by 3! I wonder if they could hear us in Kentucky? NORTH!!!!
-
Down by 8 with 7 minutes to play. It's gonna take something special. ::hears crickets:: I wish I could get the download to work that would work the dang chatroom. <_<
-
Hop may save the season for us...he's shooting lights out in the second half.
-
It's not looking great for the Mean Green. We're down 12 right now with I think 9 minutes to go. Why can't we close out on three-point shooters? It just hasn't been a good weekend for my basketball teams. Things could still turn around....let's go, Mean Green!

Dallas Mavericks...
PerryG2480 replied to PerryG2480's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Cool, no hard feelings intended. Still a little mad, plus it's Friday night and I'm sick as a dog. I agree about the call-in show participants. Newy will have a big "I told you so" for Esteridge on Monday morning. -
Dallas Mavericks...
PerryG2480 replied to PerryG2480's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I'm not bailing, I've been following my team forever. I have Rolando Blackmon's autograph, so it's all good. It's easy to find some positives after the game was over. I posted before any of the comeback or Finley incident had occurred. Yes...it's good that Finley stood up to Bowen, we need more attitude and less "nice guy" reputation on this team. Najera and Dirk also ran over a couple Spurs in the next few minutes...it got that team on their heels. Yes...the Mavs stormed back, and it was very exciting. But notice that I used the term "scizophrenic," still not sure how to spell that, to describe the team in the first post of this thread. I stand by that. It's good that you can get fired up after a couple ejections and come roaring back like the game actually means something. It's NOT good that a team in a tight division and conference race can't come out fired up from the get go. I didn't honestly expect us to sweep the season series with the Spurs, but the way the team plays on the road gives me a damn good reason to be concerned heading towards the playoffs. The home win streak was awesome, and the nation's eyes were looking at the Mavs again. Many on ESPN mentioned that in March we'd see what the Mavs are truly made of. I could forget the T-Wolves game, but I can't forget this one. These are the teams we are going to be competing with when it counts, and we have done well against them overall this season. I still think that the "good version" of the Mavs could win a 7 game series with anyone in the league, but will they show up for the road games? The numbers lead me to believe they won't. The Mavs were the best road team in the NBA last year, and that was the major difference. The way things are probably going to shake out, we're looking at a first round match-up with either the Lakers or the Spurs. With homecourt advantage...who knows? We could take it. Without it...I hold true to my belief that they will not get past the first round this season...too much inconsistency. Will they still be my favorite team? Yes. Will I still watch every game? Yes. I don't have to prove my support for the Mavs. Bandwagon bash me if you want, but that's my opinion. -
Again, sorry to knee jerk. But I don't think I can remember a team that is this scizophrenic (sp?). They show up some nights and rock the hell out of a team, and then some nights they look like they couldn't make the NCAA tournament. I am losing more and more respect for Dirk, A. Walker, and Coach Nelson for not making adjustments (stop the man with the ball on a fast break...didn't I learn that in 5th grade basketball?). Sorry, but I don't see the Mavs getting out of the first round of the playoffs this year, they're just too inconsistent...and sometimes heartless. Thanks for letting me vent.

Mark Cuban
PerryG2480 replied to CaraBear's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Sorry to knee jerk, but I'm watching the Mavs Spurs game right now...What Cuban NEEDS to do is buy a defense. I've never seen a player turn on his intensity so rarely as Dirk Nowitzki. I'd say 60 percent of the time he doesn't care about anything other than shooting a jump shot. -
http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/sunbelt/invi...t=ST&f=19&t=594 Why can they do this, but we can't? We're just as good as they are in basketball, and their football attendance is bad. Who knows... <_<

I think Keyshawn would be awesome here as he is definitely an upgrade from Galloway. The GoodFellas were talking about bringing in Jevon Kearse also?! I know that he would be a HUGE hit against the cap with the money we'd have to pay him, but a true pass-rushing defensive end would be so valuable to the team (see Charles Haley). What do you guys think of the Freak coming to Big D? By the way Ironman, I got the whole "peeking" versus "peaking" thing.

Don't know what to tell you about the images, but can you clue me in to where you found that program? That sounds kinda cool. Thanks. -

the Real Story....
PerryG2480 replied to UNT_92_Fan's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I had a blast too...even though we got killed! Seriously though, having the ringer there was great (he accounted for more than 12 points when we had to focus half our defense on him, but it's cool). There was lots of trash talking (a lot of it by me), but everyone knew it was in good fun. When the game was over we were all friends, and that's always good. Sorry I couldn't contribute more on offense, but I had to have had like 10 or 12 QB hurries! There's a stat line for ya. We've gotta do this again. Thanks to everyone who help make it happen. -
Damn it! I just got home from work in time to catch the last couple minutes of regulation and the overtime on NTTV. Come on JJ, no one leaves practice until they make 50 free throws! How frustrating was that?! On a lighter note, it was cool to see some of you guys on tv. They had a good shot of Emmitt pumping up the crowd.

Tshirts
PerryG2480 replied to hope24's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Me too...I love the shirt designs, but it won't be a tragedy if we don't have them for the first game.
