Tulsa should be a good chance for a win. LSU and K State will look a lot like the Texas/Colorado matchups last year...with slightly closer results (hopefully). La Tech could go either way. After the past few seasons, I am reluctant to get over confident about any OOC game. I remember the feelings I had after Baylor last year, Air Force and Arkansas the year before, Arizona and South Florida from a couple of years ago...etc. Just trying to keep it in perspective. If we can go 2-2 OOC we will be in GREAT shape. Go Mean Green.

Can I just say that I think it is awesome that they're leaving the endzone background color the same color of green as the rest of the field. In other words, I was picturing the nice natural looking green ending at the endzone where it would suddenly be a bright gawdy green (like the old turf). I think it looks classic this way.

I watched the Titans game. Kassell had one really good hit on the QB...leveled him. EDIT: The QB was Chris Simms...wonder if that felt familiar?

Buzz is that there will be the new stacked "North Texas" on the helmet (or maybe "Mean Green") which is cool with me. I think that the eagle head might look decent on the sleeves of a jersey where the old circle star logo used to be. I can still live with these.

Even if the Mavs get Henderson back, I'm still not crazy about Van Horn. Don Nelson won't be able to resist playing him. If he's here to spell Dirk and save him some for the playoffs, fine. But look at the game against Phoenix the other night. I know Van Horn had some rebounds and did okay, but when the game was on the line he came down and jacked up a three pointer fairly early in the shot clock...and missed. The Mavs were in a shoot out and played little to no defense...just like when Raef Lafrentz was here. I just think with the way the Mavs were rolling, they should have just left things well enough alone. By the way...DUNK THE BALL DIRK! Would that last second miss have happened to Amare Stoudemire or Kevin Garnett? I don't care if he was fouled.

Alright, you guys are discussing a topic that is very near and dear to my heart...here's some stuff for nostalgia's sake: Got the DVD, had the board game at one point. Huge fan, the old cartoons are now out on DVD. Sticking with the thread topic...this was the better show! I can't believe anyone else remembers freakin' Pinwheel! I believe this was Plus and Minus...remember "Gotcha last" ??? A truly messed up show...anyone remember "barf burgers"? I remember this show vaguely...I think I watched it every morning when I was like four. Remember the Wuzzles? Were 80's kids' shows acid induced or what? One of my favorites. Sorry for all the bandwith, but images sure help.

Another good win for the Mavs against Phoenix on the road. That makes for a 4-0 West Coast road swing heading into the all-star break. It's even more impressive considering they were without Dampier, Stack, and still Daniels. Finley was amazing, and Josh Howard is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. I look for a strong finish to the season and a good playoff run if everyone can get and stay healthy.

The Mavs are playing really well on the road which is a complete turnaround from last season. How can you lose at home to the Bulls (not that bad anymore) and then go out and win at Sacramento and Seattle? I'm not complaining. It's good to see Finley at least showing some effort again, I was really starting to think that his time as the featured shooting guard on this team had passed. I can't wait to have Stack and Daniels completely healthy again. This team looks as strong as the '03 team that went to the conference finals in my opinion. I think that Terry has that same kind of swagger that Van Exel had that season. Anyway, it was incredibly sweet to watch the reactions of the Sacramento and Seattle crowds after those games this past weekend. I always love beating the Kings.

I listened on the radio from work...the crowd sounded good. Great job on the early shot clock countdown! Simpson sounded like he had a monster game similar to his one against NMSU. Hopkins got going, but it seemed like Watson never did. It hurt, but UALR is ranked in the 50's in the RPI according to George on the radio tonight. Bring on ASU.

Sorry in advance for the knee jerk... Cut Leo Carson. Bad year with a few bright spots. Julius Jones, Roy Williams (played well tonight), Jason Witten, Patrick Crayton, etc. Still, how do you lose twice to THAT Giants team. Eli Manning got his first win against the Dallas Cowboys, man that hurts.

I know...not huge on the mesh myself, just love the color scheme. Fourteen bucks...not bad.
