I predicted a Houston win, but I honestly thought it would have been closer. As usual, we move the ball well between the 20's and sputter in the redzone. Nearly 500 yards of offense should have resulted in more points. Some of Houston's defenders couldn't tackle at all, and we really owe their secondary for making ESPN's top 10 plays. Oh well, Houston is the better team this year. We are still very much a work in progress.

From the post-game interview: "It looked like we were running in sand, and they were running on grass." He knows we still lack the athletes we need to compete at a high level, but I think he'll get that corrected over the next season or two.

I think we'd beat Tulane, but I'm really not sure.

Same old crap, different year. I really think this team would be different with a decent QB. Teams sell out against our 3 RB's because they know we can't move the ball through the air. Houston's D is bad enough that the RB's still had room to run, but that won't be the case very often.

Better team yes, but I really feel like we've taken a few steps back since the K-State game.

Let me correct you. You are not a HOF candidate, but this thread is. It qualifies not because you graced us with your presence and started it, but because of the dogpile you received. I guess the ridiculous tangent involving hotels and dorms comes into play here as well.

This GL2 guy may have actually topped Cougar King in the weak smack department. Hotel rooms and campus beds and blah blah blah. I like how he chooses which stats are credible and which ones to toss out.

Kansas State - Average yards per game: 431.5 Against North Texas: 373 If we play like we did against K-State, we have a legitimate chance at the win. If we play like we did against FAU, not so much.

No, we often get annoyed when arrogant fans start spreading weak smack across our board. You should be above that; your school does bring in 4 and 5-star recruits after all. You are aware that your Rivals page shows tons of 2 and 3 star recruits with an occasional 4 sprinkled in over the past five years right? Oh, whoops...Scout does show you with one 5-star, my mistake. Hardly worthy of beating your chest over all of your 4 and 5-star recruits.

Unfortunately, this won't help student turnout. The home opener was terribly boring until the very end when many of them had already left. I can almost hear our opponents calling it Apathy Stadium now haha.

I honestly feel lucky that work commitments kept me from attending that abomination.
