Don't count the FIU game as a win just yet...they played K-State A LOT tougher than we did. I am not trying to dwell on down times, but I can't give you one D-1A team that I would say going into the game..."There's no way we lose this one."

I know it's supposed to be a down year and all, but I had no idea we would be this bad. Florida International and Marshall hung with this team. Where do we stand in comparison? I hate to even think about it.

Some of the spirit items being sold at Voertman's and the UNT Bookstore show a helmet with the new block lettering, so I'm guessing we'll be going with that. It will look good because it will match the "Mean Green" lettering on the jersey and the lettering in the endzones at Fouts. I think it has a bolder, more distinct look to it than the script.

Well...the challenge has been extended. I say someone on this board can do much better...any takers?

Every picture I can find of Auburn from last year shows the Russell logo. But hey, I'd rather have New Balance than Russell again. They just seem to look higher quality than what we had when we used Russell a few years ago. I was just confused because all the signs were pointing to us going with the Swoosh.

I know about the negative financial ramifications. When it comes to football though, I think it helps us more than it hurts us. I don't want to think TOO far ahead because MTSU and Tulsa will both be tough games. BUT, we could feasibly be 2-0 headed into the Kansas St. game with a load of confidence...never know. But let's beat the MUTS first.

They look good. I had no idea we were going with New Balance. I noticed the players shoes are New Balance and Dickey's polo shirt on SW Sports Report last night was New Balance. Personally, I love NB shoes, but I haven't seen another NCAA team ever use anything manufactured by NB. Not complaining though, the uni's look good.

The new logos are so much sharper, and the new shade of Green being shown on some of the new shirts stands out so well. I'd also like to add that the "Think Green" signs look REALLY good this year, and they're scattered around campus better than ever before. I think you see one about every 50 feet or so.

I believe the banner is still up in the Union. By the way, it lists the location as "Fouts Field Stadium."

That's a great article. I'd love to see some of our current defensive players take on that kind of attitude here at North Texas. I'm not saying that we don't have firey players on D (Covington, Graves, etc.), but Kassell was and still apparently is...a mad man.

The Hooters is located off the Pennsylvania exit heading north on I-35E next to the Wells Fargo.

The designs used in the recent branding process are being displayed on the top floor of the Union. If anyone is near campus they need to come see this. Some of the concept sketches are interesting to say the least. I wish I could show some pictures. One design had the words "North Texas" blended into an eagle feather. There are also several variations of the eagle we ended up with (be glad they chose the one they did!). There are some interesting "tribal tattoo" looking eagles and eagle heads. There are also quite a few variations of a traditional collegiate interlocked "UNT"...and some of them look kinda cool. All in all, I really like what we ended up with. But go see it if you get a chance.

What's sad is that we tried to introduce an organized chant at the bowl game last year. From what I remember, we couldn't get anyone in our section to even try it. It seemed like a good chant though.

Well, if nothing else it'll be kinda cool to see him and Nash together if that happens. It's still going to be weird to see him in anything but a Mavs jersey, but this was the right move.

Show up, try to keep it respectable...get out injury free. LSU: 52 North Texas: 17 I think J-Mo breaks one, we get one from good field position off a turnover, and Baz hits one from 45 +. Just my prediction.
