I seem to remember last year that Tulsa won the C-USA championship and beat Fresno St. in the Liberty Bowl. While that defeat hurt...it came to a decent team (which SMU is NOT!).

Well deserved in my opinion. The best 82 game start of any coach in NBA history. The record would have been better (62-66 wins probably) had all the injuries not occurred at once. The Mavs need to take care of business as quickly as possible with Memphis. The Spurs had to score 128 in an overtime game to beat the Queens in Game 2 last night. Hopefully (probably not though) Sacramento will stretch it to 6 or more with the Spurs and wear them out a little. Congrats to the General!

Thanks for helping to do this again, Rick. Those jerseys look so nice. Problem is...they're not our official color of Green. Can a fan justify the price when the color is going to change next season (or the one after that)? I guess if you like the Hunter Green better, this is the deal for you. Again, I love the look of the jersey...and this was going to be the year when I finally broke down and bought an authentic. Personally, I just can't justify it. It would be nice to know that the uni/helmets are going to be consistent for years. But that's another topic. I still might not be able to resist though.

I noticed a glaring difference in the athletes at Colorado State and Southern Miss...but losing 27-17 against Memphis is not a huge failure. They beat quite a few C-USA teams by larger margins than that recently. We did slaughter Baylor, beat Cincinnatti, beat Troy (who's shown they can compete with "real" college football programs), and shut Texas completely out for a whole half of football in our recent history. We're obviously not at that level right now, but I hope we're on our way back.

There are quite a few that I like...but I absolutely can't stand Bill Walton for NBA games. "Take it to the hole, throw it down big daddy." "Yao Ming is just too strong, he makes everyone else look like little children running around." It doesn't matter who's playing...whichever guy is the best player on the court instantly becomes the best player at that position in NBA history. In my opinion, that deadhead needs to truck on down the road.
